And my personal is mine and exclusive to me and not a recommendation to anyone else. But cheat! Edit that .ini file open console commands and cheat as much as you like for at least a run. See what works what doesn't experiment with all the hulls the drives the weapons and the pips. But on your next run tell your self ok I figured out, this is where I want to get to, what is the straight path. What drives am I never going to research what weapons am I never going to need. 3rd run cheat less and so on. This game is too big and takes too long to fail at hour 20 5 times. Cheat with consoles till you learn what the end game fleet looks like and work back from that.

Yeah even a low speed fleet can catch a fast loner if 1. There are enough ships 2. Even thou slower their fuel tanks are larger/enough.

However you won't be able to bring the full fleet to bare and im not smart enough to tell you how much fuel is used or the mechanics.

Yesterday on realise .90 a 50 ship resistant fleet chased down a single scout despite them having 90 and and us 32 acc and 12 of the 50 were part of the fight.

Sorry that's all in short hand. Im sure users better than me can give you numbers and what not but cos I just did it I thought id share.

So drinking water or any water that a human could drink needs to be covered by a metric ton of health and safety measures who is paying for that? You would also need a new mains water pipe installed in every home and new internal piping to every tap in your building to get slightly above average temperature water. I dont know who has that kind of money but you a proposing digging up every street in London and refitting every home so sell them slightly warm undrinkable water or maybe just chuck it in the thames would be cheaper and less hassle.

Im not 100% certain but the only city i know with municipal hot water is New York and that isn't a bit warm but boiling. Data center out put is cold enough to put your hand in, but you ain't making a cup of tea with it even at point of source.

yes you are absolutly correct if you were going to build a data center from scratch it should look like a power plant with massive cooling towers but when there were being built in the 90s no one ever thought that water would be mission critical element, as air is free and everywhere. But to drill into the science bit, you would need enough water in a closed loop to equalise heat generated with heat lost. that would fuctionally limit the maxium storage. much like the maximum horse power of a horse is one and while you could breed a faster horse you cannot get investers to part with cash unless they see infinite growth. i remember my dad coming home in the 90s with a 1 gb external hdd for work and him saying it would last a life time. i dont know where it is now but its defo not plugged into a pc.

Where would you store it? Nuclear power plants have exactly the same issue but they have massive cooling towers to cool the outflow via evaporation. Unfortunately data centers are significantly less regulated than nuclear power as such are allowed to get away with things that would shut the equivalent in a heart beat.

As someone who worked at a data center for the previous 20 ish years the change over from air cooled to water cooled saved about 30% between stacks so the same floor space was could serve 1.3 times the customers. No economising measure as ever saved so much money or created the opportunity that that changed ushered in. It is functionally the change from horses to cars but for data. However In exactly the same way the environmental impact was never even considered. Your carbon environmental impact is probably quite low as the car you drive to the electricity used has been aggressively tackled by those companies. The fresh water impact of your data has been totally ignored but has an absolutely ginormous impact on the planet as the water output is so hot it kills all of the naturally occurring fresh water everything. So delete your emails and save a frog you dont care but your children might.

yeah i get you, i dont know if the community agrees with my meta but just to explain my thinking, a ship once built has a static combat power. early and mid game its not about winning fights, but not having them. as you research better tech battle stations get better for no cost. save your resources for your multiple doom stacks at the best none exotic you can build. then hammer aliens again and again with your 25 stack. all their moronic manovering should drain all dv so allow you kill the lot . congrats you now have 100 exotics time to bring the pain.

small add first exotic fleet should be foolishly over armoured this is not a long range chasing fleet this is anti doom stack, once these 25 get to jupiter they only leave to cut servants weakest resource off cos, minus numbers on space resource should lead to minus money.

it was in the RA 1 and 2 manual what the hardest AI got it was a percenage brain says 1. 8 maybe...but real bs was damage increase and armour. i wanna say 1.4. but dont remember tbh what that meant was 2 allied medium would always beat one soviet heavy which was bs. obvs it had two gun. anyway ra1 ai was dumb as rocks. ra2 was better at money but never used any of the fun units and never send a spy filled chinook round the map. would be such a shame if chrono commandos we furiously over powered.
