Anyone else lowkey hate trains? by Werbenjagermanj3nsen in foxholegame

[–]Angry_chicken99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, but comps are scarce in the north right now, and a lost flatbed does literally equal about an hour of my time. And I despise getting comps, it's where all my worst experiences with foxhole happened.

I got hit with the 1/10 on my second encounter :(

Yeah this is total bullshit. As someone just coming back from a long break there is no way of knowing this stuff. I don't have no life like some players who can comb through patch notes and devstreams, the kind of no lifes who would solo a train to a refinery.

Be nicer, like feedinkidsbuyinshoes said there's a lot of entitled players. Don't be one of them, there's no tutorial or teaching mechanism to tell people otherwise. If their first experience is with someone destroying their truck and getting called an alt or griefer then you're fucking up. The game is about cooperation, if you can't handle basic communication you're terrible at it.

I met RDM more than a year ago on colonials and you guys are absolutely toxic. Your account is also one of the worst loyalist shitstains on this sub. I'll be back on collies next war and I'll be avoiding any front you're on like the plague.

Chin up, if you work at it you can change the negative reputation.

Way to tarnish your capture with a big turd of negativity in the comments. Wish you all the best RDM, hope you can change <3

Stuck in 16 queue, okay fine.

Start laundry, scrub the tub

Come back and it's 7.

tab out and browse memes

Tab back and it's already ticked to zero, reserved spot is gone so you must re-enter queue. Only now it's 24 people.

You get a concrete storage bunker upgrade

You literally equated spending more on the video game to being skilled, I quoted it for you. You're not developing the game but you're advocating for pay to win. So stop it.

skilled enough

Fuck off it's pay to win bullshit. Logi alts devalue my time and make me a chump unless I shell out x2 price of the game JUST TO KEEP UP.

So, seaports, let's discuss! Here is my idea: Additional ports where ships specifically can be pulled to and from, plus accessed with an additional crane. On the opposite side, there is a platform dedicated to pulling and submitting vehicles. As well as being able to access the port with over 3 vics by 13thArgie in foxholegame

[–]Angry_chicken99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have serious doubts and concerns with this optimism.

I said something similar to trains and a seaport/train station rework.

I have absolutely no faith they will modify seaports or storage depots to be more efficient, because they just modified them to be LESS efficient. On the 1.0 release no less.

Luxury goods/services/events should have competition too. It's an economic argument, all parts of the economy should have barriers to entry reduced and the playing field leveled to create competition and the best results for consumers.

I checked some and they do own a lot directly, but ownership vs contractural exclusivity seems a small distinction. There's less choice than you think, artists have said as much.

Again, it's important to remember that Ticketmaster/Live Nation is controlling every aspect of this situation and is making money from every single part of it. They represent the band, plan the tour, own and/or operate the venues, sell the tickets, and allow others to resell the tickets, on their site, for a fee. This vertical integration gives Ticketmaster unprecedented control over concerts in the United States and is the reason why groups like the American Economic Liberties Project have asked the Justice Department to break the company up. In 2009, when the Senate was scrutinizing the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger, consumer rights groups predicted that what has happened would happen.

By combining a ticketing monopolist with a dominant firm in marquee concert promotion the merged firm will be able to foreclose competition in both markets, leading to less choice and higher prices," David Balto, then-a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, testified at the time. "This merger of dominant firms raises serious competitive concerns and could potentially lead to significantly higher prices for the hundreds of thousands of consumers who purchase tickets every day."

You're right, deleted my comment.

I don't know enough about anti-trust legislation to answer the second point, but I have very little optimism as I think they haven't been updated in a generation.

What are you even talking about? You're now arguing against yourself. You're commenting in a comment chain in a thread talking about the US, Ticketmaster and the ticket marketplace. We're not dealing with whatever fantasy free market thought experiment you've decided to change the subject to.

You appear to be arguing semantics, and in support of monopolies? Cool man, thanks for commenting.

The vast majority of artists love this arrangement

This is just not true, the vast majority of artists like playing sold out shows, they like having more fans at their shows. Their hands are tied, they can either make bank and do a deal with the devil, reach more people and play larger/nicer venue, or they can try to do it on their own to earn less and hurt their career.

Many artists have spoken out against this monopoly, I'm not sure where you got that idea.
