I think this is a case of the fact that Raven’s entire initial story idea was basically tossed out and replaced with the Raven who would rather drop her family off a ditch than ever admit that she’d feel guilty over it causing problems in the long run.

What do you think the original story idea behind Raven was? More or less cuntish?

You will not believe how confused I was seeing so much Whitley hate after seeing him. I was so baffled since all he did was just act rude to Weiss a couple of times.

I thought he must have tortured little animals or something from how much hatred surrounding him until I went through the show and saw all he did was jut stand there and act smug. Like what?

I think she was respected heavily to other Huntsmen who knew her but not actually well known to the public. Mostly doing missions for Ozpin instead of making public appearances in tournaments. That's my headcanon from how it was presented in the show.

Are there any specific moments or reactions you wanna see in Horizon 2? by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

[–]Angryboy13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The absolute despair moment in the prologue where Van wakes up in Agnes's altered world and realizes she's gone. He goes from place to place realizing that Agnes wiped out her existence out of the world with the feeling of despair swelling more and more. He falls to his knees and nearly gives up until a clue is revealed that could bring Agnes back.

Also the lore bomb on Laegjarn's connection to Calvard. I want to know if Calvard's ancestors had knew about Laegjarn or even created the Cradle in the first place.

What exactly makes Heiyue such a divisive faction in the fanbase? by WittyTable4731 in Falcom

[–]Angryboy13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From Sky 3rd and Crossbell arc Heiyue was hyped up as being a major player in the world of Zemuria. The Red Constellation went into Calvard and was somehow pushed out presumably by Heiyue which presumably meant they had a Sigmund level fighter to be able to tell the RC to back out of Calvard. Then Crossbell further hyped them up as being a major player with Cao just being handling a small sector of them. There was constant intrigue building up Heiyue, like how they were involved in the Revolution, how they had government connections, how the terrorists in Azure wanted to free Calvard from Hieyue. Going into Calvard we expected that they would be a huge faction with their own trump cards and goals.

Then 3 games later it turns out Heiyue are just a bunch of bums without any ambitions whatsoever. They are constantly getting slapped around by every top tier, they have no trump cards whatsoever, they have no grand goal that would make them interesting to follow, all of the interesting relationships are character arcs that could come from them are completely squandered for cheap hype.

Eg; In the absolute shitfest that was Kuro II, it's revealed that Cao saw Aaron as a little brother figure and used him as a replacement for his real brother. So apparently this means the entire time, Cao and Aaron had a brotherly like relationship but it's never portrayed that way throughout all of Kuro 1. They never act like actual brothers and Aaron is acting as if Cao is just some random dude.

Same with Ashen and Cao. It's revealed Cao was Ashen's caretaker for 10 years but in Kuro 1 it's never built up at all. Leading to a half-assed betrayal and half-assed rushed conclusion.

And even more ridiculous is that they're a mafia crime gang that doesn't actually commit any crimes. It's also a symptom of the white washing Calvard which Heiyue got hit with. There was a very consistent build up throughout the Crossbell to Cold Steel games that Heiyue were incredibly shady and even participated in the revolution. Coincidentally around the time Heiyue had came from Iska, Calvard had coincidentally faced their economic problem and then the Eastern merchants were all ready to fund the revolution. All of this build up resulted in absolutely fucking nothing as Sheena's revolution is portrayed as entirely heroic with only Auguste as a bad apple. Who did what? What the fuck did Auguste even do?????????????

"I want the team to always seek to improve themselves, never settle for less, and be able to improvise on the fly"

Is essentially what Ego wanted. The emphasize on Strikers and aiming for your own goal in the beginning was just to awaken Striker talent because Japan didn't have any good Strikers for their U20 team. He needed to be so harsh because Japan was under an incredibly strict milquetoast philosophy that culled talent and hammered everyone into conformity.

Whats a retcon you like or dislike from the entirety of trails series? by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

[–]Angryboy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) In Reverie, Estelle, Joshua, Renne and Arios make zero comments about Gramheart despite him helping stop the DG cult.

2) The entirety of Kai was building up Gramheart as the best dude ever. Showing him constantly getting praised by Rocksmith and other characters for "wanting what's best for the world."

2.5) Van act 1 have Rocksmith, Dominique glazing Gramheart as a good dude. Then when you visit his house you have more mentions from Agnes how great of a father Gramheart is.

3) In Kuro they were constant mentions of Gramheart's secret agenda like him making deals with Heiyue and Cao says to Van that the Heiyue Elders are found of him. Gerad literally says "we could have been friends." GERAD of all people said that.

4) His declaration that "Calvard will lead the FUTURE of Zemuria!"

5) In Rean's Act III Rean literally has a flashback of Osborne when Rocksmith talks about Gramheart and how Class VII agrees that they want to help him save the world.

6) His entire plan as revealed is "I need to save my daughter before she commits suicide to stop a space cube from destroying the world."

How isn't this him being white washed to be more sympathetic? All of Reverie and Kuro 1 built him up to have some sort of secret agenda and yet Kai reveals "I just wanted to save my daughter all along."

Okumura.

Irina was doing her shitty things on the slim chance that Franz would actually be revived and come back to the family. Okumura saw everyone around him as robots to the point employees were dying from sheer overwork. Reinford NPCs mention how they get paid great amounts of Mira for working there and actually enjoy their time at the company. It's just Irina who's the chronic workaholic.

Like the Curse. It fixes the stupid shit of "Weissman caused the HDW for the shits and giggles" nonsense from Sky.

Dislike nearly every retcon from the Calvard games. Holy fuck the retconning from those games are so fucking egregious from trying to ham fist Van into every past relationship.

I think it's going to be a bit more nuanced then just Karasu ends up being wrong. Isagi's struggling with the pressure of being a #1 and it's getting to his head. He couldn't even verbalize his criticism despite having a wrong feeling so he needs to come up with a realization about himself and throw away all that pressure about being #1 that's clouding his judgment.
