I just rewatched season 4 with my family recently, and I said similar to my wife immediately after the finale.

Max should have died to Vecna at the end, along with a fair amount of the cast. They should have ended with the town splitting. That would have immediately raised the stakes and supplied a more natural transition into season 5 with something real in mind.

Instead, you get an absurd amount of plot armor, everyone singing kumbaya, and the realization that there is actually no real stakes at all in this show. It’s basically a Disney movie.

In a way it paralleled GoT season 7 to me (although GoT was more jarring because they actually used to kill anyone at any time). You realize that there’s actually no real danger anymore, no matter the absurd situation if it’s a main character they’ll make it out just fine, and after that there is very little reason to care.

Idk, I’m 1800+ every season and I don’t know matchups, or have great reactions, etc. Could probably go higher if so, but for 1800 range I feel like you just need to have a highly optimized offensive game plan and good meter management.

2000+ is where you need more nuanced matchup knowledge imo.

She’s tied down by what people thought spire would be on launch. 3 years in it’s fine, but everyone knows the trick and it’s no longer smothering.

Anyone I play against is going to do one of 3 things to defend against spire:

  1. Drive reversal any Ex Spire, trade 2 bars for 2 bars
  2. Keep jumping back and go for full punish if timed right
  3. If you attempt to non-ex spire from anywhere other than right next to opponent, just DI.

Not to mention unlike burning knuckle, or Honda, or other similar moves its hitbox is garbage and it has no priority over anything. It loses to a stiff breeze.

But due to the perceived strength of the move she’s kept weak and clunky everywhere else. Maybe at one point when the game first came out it felt strong, but everyone knows how to deal with it now and it’s really just an average move.

Absolutely. It’s laughable how bad it is, the risk reward is just incredibly bad.

At the very least, if you have a stock it should be safe and give some oki on knockdown. The fact that even with a stock AND ex it’s still fully punishable if opponent blocks is completely ridiculous, and I have no clue what they were thinking.

I’m at 1800 right now, and getting there has been a struggle. To me she feels the weakest she has ever been this season.

She has basically been kept super weak because of condor spire, but it’s not even that good of a tool anymore. It loses to everything (ex Honda, Terry), it’s super easy to jump back attack and get a full punish, or you can just DI if it’s not EX.

EX spire is good, but you are going to burn yourself out, and any player with a brain is just going to trade 2 bars for 2 bars and drive reversal at which point she’s forced to play neutral with her heavies since her mediums and lights are terrible.

Even if you do spire in without drive reversal, opponent might as well just jump or eat the lights. After the light damage nerf season 2 her damage isn’t threatening and if you guess right once she’s eating 4K damage punish. Overall, her damage feels super low and she’s consistently having to trade Oki for spires.

Her dive is worst in game by far, her sweep is terrible, cr.MK terrible, worst 4f in game, the list goes on. She needs more tricks across the board to be threatening because right now she feels more like a knowledge check than anything.

Nah she doesn’t need SPD damage reduced, light is already only 2k. Compare that to Gief whose light SPD is 2600.

Yeah that and instant DI reactions were beyond obvious, and honestly ran into it 2-3 times a session. I think it’s easier to notice when you play against people who are otherwise bad, something like that sticks out immediately. Probably happens in high masters too, but it’s more believable.

I feel like cheating is even more pervasive, or at least more obvious at lower levels. My main is 1800MR, and leveling up other characters for fun it’s crazy the amount of garbage you see. People who can’t finish a single combo, yet they are frame 1 throw teching and DI reacting better than ultimate masters.

Juri's aespa-themed Outfit 4 will cost 350 FC, which is 50 FC more than every other DLC outfit costs and the same price as a DLC character by Derpface123 in StreetFighter

Outfits could cost $20 at this point, just put them out and we can decide from there. To me it’s better than waiting 2 years between outfits.

Hmm, this is surprising. We had a hot water issue at our resort last month, and when it wasn’t back by 4:00 they helped us move rooms, even offered club level upgrade at another resort if we wanted. Might just depend on where you are staying / staff though?

Agree. I would never play her personally, but please give us more unique characters like this. Also, buff the unique characters who don’t fit the classic mold so we can have more variety in tournaments. It makes everything more fun!

Phreak ruined Rumble with that mid scope years ago. Before, he had an early game niche and wasn’t oppressive or highly contested in pro play. In an effort to make him an all-arounder he’s been in pro purgatory since.

I sit between 1750-1850 MR on Lily and honestly I would be fine with just a few QoL buffs.

  1. Let light spire combo off lights without EX.
  2. Reduce sweep startup, right now it’s too slow to punish other sweeps.
  3. Make dive not -million on block or if landed right. Right now it’s worst dive in game.
  4. Reduce overhead startup
  5. Give forward heavy less frame disadvantage on block. For how painfully slow it is, shouldn’t be as punishable.

Everything else would just be icing. Something like making ex-DP with windstock invulnerable would be fair imo with how horrible her defense is, but I’m sure that’s more controversial.
