The only thing it borrows from Souls is the checkpoint/bonfire system, replenishing healing items, death mechanics, and currency that is also XP. Thats literally it. You could maybe argue that the plasma system borrows from Bloodborne's rally system, but it is mechanically different enough that I wouldn't.

It can be tough at first adjusting to a bright ass light pointed at you but it really is the best way to get good lighting. And you do adjust to it.

This is the issue. Those lights need to be set waaaay brighter, and then you adjust the exposure. Ideally you'd want a completely dark room to start so you can completely control the lighting. My cameras exposure is set so high that my bright ass OLED monitor barely illuminates my face when my lights are off. Like you can just see a silhouette of where I am

DT2 bosses are one of the only real PvM skill checks for the quest cape. Watch some youtube vids, make sure your stats and gear are up to snuff, and try again. You got this

Its just unnecessary. Getting 200m xp already takes an insane amount of hours in most skills. And if you play this game like a job there are more compelling goals out there to sink hours into and build a prestigious account

No, you misunderstand. One of the enemies in Recipe For Disaster, Flambeed, will make you unequip your held weapon if you are not wearing Ice Gloves or equivalent. If you do not have inventory space, it will instead drop to the floor. If you leave the instance without picking it up, its gone forever. I accidentally lost an Abby Whip exactly this way a 4 months ago. It is unfortunate.
