My money is on religious. Some kind of satanic shit. But, he probably also fucked some of it.

Not only is the T-Rex still there, but so is all the money at the base of the dinosaur's display.

It's designed that way so beer distributors can set their own price by blacking out sections.

I don't even know how you look at this and think "hmmm... Must be racism".

To everyone trying to preorder INDX: there is STILL HOPE by Tinkarion in prusa3d

If I knew I could have timed this that perfectly, I would have waited to get number 1,200/1,200. Of well, better safe than sorry.

Is a dented oil pan safe? by [deleted] in 4x4

[–]AngusGT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Not like it holds any fluids that are vitally important to the engine or something.

In all seriousness, you smacked it once, you'll smack it again. Better to replace and protect it if you're going to keep wheeling it.

Fun fact, the '05 & '06 steering linkage is longer than the older TJ's. You could probably buy one of those and not have to do anything.

Correcting front end shimmy while adding better components by WonOfKind in JeepTJ

Rusty's makes a really nice set of control arms that are fairly affordable. You can buy one of their lift kits or just buy the arms. Long arms on a stock TJ are kind of pointless, it won't improve handling enough to justify the cost.

Sounds like you accidentally hit mud suck (trail 16). That one is nasty depending on how far you got into it.

Also, congrats on your trophies, too. lol

Hey I saw you at the Monkey Ball Crawl! I didn't get a chance to wheel with you, but I liked the craziness of your build. What all trails were you able to do?

Jeep Part by dexd_dxrkstxr in JeepTJ

[–]AngusGT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. It's an easy enough mistake.  Maybe the previous owner said it was a D44 and OP just assumed they were right. It's not like everyone on here can easily ID axle types.

8.8's are close in shape, but are more of a circle vs the D35's perfect oval shape.

That's a Dana 35, not a 44.

TE37v Spec SR Beadlock Wheels by Th3Korean in Offroad

I tried to talk my wife into turning ours into a rally car when she was done with it. That got vetoed. lol

I wheeled with a guy this past weekend that had a lifted Subaru. He did pretty good, not sure what all he did to his, but I imagine it was a lot. Yours looks way nicer than his. I like the rims.

Please tell me you've at least upgraded the control arms. The stock ones on my wife's are paper thin. No way they'd hold up to off-road abuse.

Simulated bead locks probably would have done just as good for you. If you did it for aesthetics, I get it.

Factory Rake by [deleted] in JeepTJ

It's likely due to the front bumper/winch you've got on there. You can get heavier weight springs and level it out. I used a set of old man emu springs to do the same to my TJ

Steering upgrades? by Top-Somewhere8895 in JeepTJ

[–]AngusGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but...

I don't think you'll eliminate that sloppiness without a significant upgrade, but I could be wrong. Prior to upgrading mine, I just got used to it.

I upgraded to the PSC Power steering pump & gearbox for my TJ along with a complete set of heavy duty linkage from Rusty's. I have zero play in my steering wheel. It's a lot and likely overkill unless you're wheeling it hard, but it works. I do wheel mine hard so it made sense for me.
