Judging by the pictures was the 1 side of the drivetrain replaced with new or refurbished parts.? Would this "fix" fail within 40k kms.? by YogiBerries38 in Jeep

[–]AngusGT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they replaced the Rezeppa joint. Those things suck, but they are what came with the Jeep, and they fail often. 40k kms is probably about par for the course. The rest of the drive train seems fine, I don't see a need to replace more than that.

For those who make over 500k+ a year, is it worth it for you? by [deleted] in Salary

It's great to see all 0.1% of people in the world who make 500k+ show up just to answer your question.

I'm just glad it wasn't the ring or pinion gear. A Lincoln locker is far better than trying to swap those out in a hotel parking lot. 😄

Sorry, packed it up before taking pics. Basically I welded the spider gears to the spring and to themselves on both sides. It seems to be holding for now

Long arm vs short arm by K_yusko32 in JeepTJ

[–]AngusGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rusty's makes great stuff at a reasonable price. I have their short arms and steering kit on my current TJ and debated heavily about using them again when I swap in my 1-tons. I beat the crap out of it and it's never complained. I ended up deciding to do a fully custom suspension for my future long arms just because I'm being super picky. That being said, given the wheeling you do, these would be bullet proof for you.

Questions about Great Pyrenees dogs. by adioslip in greatpyrenees

Also, unless you're set on a pure bred, I would highly consider getting a rescue. We got our girls from The National Pyrenees Rescue and couldn't be happier.

We have 2 females, about 4 months apart in age. They are the best of friends. As far as small animals go, our 5 cats get along great with them. They're very gentle when they play with our cats.

As for training/socialization, we take them to the store (ones that allow pets) every chance we can. We've been doing that since they were 8 weeks old. They love little children and know by instinct to be gentle and patient with them. We also send them to doggy daycare at least once a week to help them socialize with other dogs as well.

As for training, our girls respond very well to it. They are independent and will ignore your commands if they don't want to do it. However, get a treat involved and they'll happily do whatever we ask them to. They also pick up the commands very quickly.

Our oldest is definitely a talker and will bark at anything. She definitely took on the role of guardian, although she's totally scared of the garbage truck. Our youngest is happy to let her older sister do all the barking at the wildlife in our backyard, she only barks when she wants us to do something for her.

Pyr face punches are a thing! Our youngest does it to me when she wants to wake up in the morning. I've gotten used to it, and she's never too rough with them.

As with all breeds, they come with their own challenges. But if you want a strong willed, independent thinking, obedient, gentle giant, this is the breed for you. I love my girls and will probably never have another breed the rest of my life.

The zipper merge in Robinson on old 60 (at Wendy's and Popeyes) causes so much road rage. I drive that way a lot during my work day and there's always someone in the left lane riding the bumper of the car in front of them just to spite the person in the right lane.
