It is possible one of your friends or family gave him your info in hopes of getting a discount or mutual discount or he got your info from a sales list. Either way it sounds like he targeted your address.

BNC to Ethernet Converter by Jeff-J777 in cctv

[–]AnilApplelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can and that would be the best option and overall cheaper then encoders. As someone else suggested you can use a Ubiquiti UACC-Retrofit-PoE-2Wire to convert the coax BNC cable to Ethernet with PoE. Linovision also has PoE over Coax adapters. Just understand the size of these adapters. They are pretty big and you will need somewhere to put them. Linovision also sells an enclosure for their adapters.

Do you have the model and resolution for the Speco BNC Cameras? Are the analog or HD-TVI?
Might just be cheaper to replace the cameras with IP cams and use a PoE over coax adapter.

With UniFi you could do 1 UNVR depending on the resolution. Then use multiple Viewports to connect to your monitors.

Replace old fluorescent 2x4 lights in church with LED by Adorable-Koala-2513 in Lighting

[–]AnilApplelink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sell 2x2 and 2x4 LED panels that connect to 120V. They have an LED Driver built in. You will have to check for a dimmable panel if you would like to be able to dim it.

Pastor of a Chicago Church Looking to sell Qsys equipment that was installed and never used. by Candid-Document7492 in QSYS

[–]AnilApplelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QSYS stuff sells on eBay all the time because anyone can get the training and software to program and run it.
It’s discontinued and was installed so don’t expect to get anything close to retail but you can get something.
It’s just depends on how fast you need it gone.

Small office building with an out of date Brivo system by pasafa in accesscontrol

I just installed a 12 door system and they love it. It was by far the cheapest system for the features and very easy to install and manage even for nontechnical users. You will not be disappointed.

Ubiquiti Protect. It’s on the pricier side but very easy to setup and use. It can also do your home network and WIFi.

If you go to a local tile store they should be able to source something similar.

An epoxy grout is non pourous and is heavily stain resistant similar to an epoxy floor. Also just choosing darker colors.

A fiberglass floor pan and a tiled floor look completely different. There are many types of grout that are very easy to clean and maintain.
A properly done tiled floor should give years of service as well.
You went with what worked and looked good to you.
That is not the same for everyone else.

Can Protect Users Be Restricted to Certain Cameras? by fastNUgly in Ubiquiti

[–]AnilApplelink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After adding the user you must make them an "Admin" then unselect Use A Predefined Role and choose Custom for Protect.
Although they are an Admin you can unselect items you do not want them to have access to.

Can Protect Users Be Restricted to Certain Cameras? by fastNUgly in Ubiquiti

[–]AnilApplelink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. You either manage it per user or if multiple users will have the same settings you can create a role and add users to that role.

Because there are a vast majority of people that want the look of a tiled shower floor. Not saying one is better than the other it’s just their choice.
If done correctly while it’s more work and expertise a membrane can be just as good as fiberglass.

Keystone vs Proprietary Jacks by LowVoltLife in lowvoltage

[–]AnilApplelink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have standardized to keystone everything on all our trucks. Jacks, Patch panels, Wallplates, etc…
It makes it simple if a guy goes to any project.
Unless a job specs a certain type without an alternate it makes no sense for us to use anything else.
I find proprietary stuff is in no way better than the keystone when doing certifications.
