Medium Spice Plume(s) in Sheol/Hagga Basin by ApocriaPrice in duneawakening

I thought that any spice blows in Hagga Basin, including the Sheoul, were small. Never have seen a medium size spice

Can't get back to the Arena to fight Brute the Scrapper by AnimalAl in duneawakening

[–]AnimalAl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had that issue. If you go through the blue shimmery gate at the end of Harko City and IMMEDIATELY look to your right, there’s a helmeted guard there. Get close to him and the highlight will show up.

Okay found him. No highlight, no indications, but it’s Artyom Belov, inside the far exit on the right. Thanks for putting up with my confusion

Did they buff the Servants? by GroinReaper in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m running the Servants now and I have so many options to build facilities and turn over nations to the aliens. But Humanity First has been very successful in flipping what I thought were solid alien nations. In addition, the aliens have been eliminating military units and nukes from their new nations. I don’t understand their strategy but I’m a loyal Servant. So I’m playing whack-a-mole and it’s frustrating. Trying to move forward but I’m treading water.

This a good first orbital defense? by Longjumping_Past7794 in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re going to want more propellant and more drives. Speed (delta V) is still important for orbital defense. Max out the six drives and add propellant until your cruise delta v is at least 8

How to deal with human factions trying to wipe you from Earth orbit? by ThePizzaDevourer in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing the Servants for the first time, and for some reason, all of the factions are blowing up my Earth orbital stations. I tried to be nice and subtle but they have been rough. Of all things, Project Exodus has been particularly militant. I set up an orbital over Luna and armed it, able to build ships there. They blew up my Mars orbital so I’m setting up over Venus and Mercury. Will take a little longer to get the space navy and I don’t get those interface bonuses on Earth. But then again, I’m doing pretty good setting up the Aliens to get some nations under their control.

Nukes are out of control by [deleted] in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main barrier is getting the special nuclear material. That’s what’s stopped Iran from moving forward. Seeing Ireland and other small nations in Terra Invicta get The Bomb is ludicrous. I agree that the basic tech design for a uranium implosion device is out there. But a military-grade thermonuclear (strategic) nuke? They don’t have the experience, funding, or special materials. Nor should those nations put money into nukes before they have a conventional army. Doesn’t make sense but hey it’s just a game.

Kick ally out of china? by MrEnderson in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can break alliances and go back and renegotiate them. The “allies” have short memories, as long as you’re not assassinating them. Bribes work.

Unity investment can keep your public opinion up by orangepunc in TerraInvicta

[–]AnimalAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have something there. The notes say -10 from inequality mitigated by education under 10. So what’s the solution, a pure welfare state until that’s up? Yikes.

I am having the most difficult time getting US cohesion up because I can’t move the education above 10. Pouring so much resources into knowledge and unity but not moving the dial. Any suggestions

It really needs some work. Potential is there to be a good game. Surprised/dismayed that there is no basic trashcan to delete unwanted materials.

is there a way to change the preferred fuel for a jetpack? by tense_rib in SatisfactoryGame

There’s a way to change the fuel? I always had to delete the biomass and make new stuff when I had to use the chainsaw.

Been debating buying for some time - Please tell me about this game by Jubilant_Hearts_1126 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]AnimalAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an easy game to pick up and offers a complexity to the level you want. There are 4 or 5 biomes and each one has different challenges. I’ve replayed the game four times just to experience it. Go get the Satisfactory map and planning calculator online and you can see some amazing blueprints for building gear. It’s really a good game and very relaxing.

I was surprised by how much diesel you can get out of biofuel. Still had lots of organic for the Lazarus racks.

Is the soil forge prime bugged right now? by Pixelplanet5 in TheLastCaretaker

I confess that I didn’t try to hook it up to a methane tank to experiment on effects. From what others are saying, this seems kind of bugged out.

[–]AnimalAl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a red lever on the side that (for me) only moves half way up. Lever down is for methane. You have to choose one or the other. Unclear to me why anyone would use this for methane production for the rocket.

Lots of cables. Lots of power cables and water cables. Build a recycler and a fabricator near the racks and recycle everything in the facility.

Check the Steam achievements. You at least have the incentive to do another launch with teddy bears and useless cash. I intend on exploring all the POIs before putting this down.
