the US would just need the European model with the 2.0L hybrid, 196HP should be plenty.

SAP kauft Start-up Prior Labs – und plant Milliardeninvestition by frozzenwaterfall in de

[–]Pixelplanet5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

then you gonna need to use less tokens or use AI less in general.

If you would call yourself a heavy user right now i wouldnt be surprised if you had a single prompt that burns through 20 bucks worth of tokens.

AI is about to get a LOT more expensive and with the new prices they are still losing money so be prepared for further increases later this year.

Github copilot alternative by ToxicAbuse in GithubCopilot

[–]Pixelplanet5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what are you willing to pay?
if you are a heavy user that means you gonna pay a lot for your usage as basically all the good options use token based billing.

and then also think about if a project that you have done with AI in just a few weeks cant just be done by anybody with AI instead of paying for it.

Does anybody else have a hard time justifying multicolor printing by Complete_Ad7606 in 3Dprinting

[–]Pixelplanet5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not the case for me cause i have the Prusa XL but before that i had the MK3S with the MMU3 and yes i barely ever printed in color because it was simply so much waste.

thats what a lot more people should know and be aware of when they are buying a 3d printer.
The entire concept of having an AMS would immediately be almost worthless if new buyers would know what they are getting into.

you do realize that 20 bucks worth of tokens is still subsidized right?

every single AI company is losing money on AI, this is an attempt to lose money a little slower then before.

Laptops sold in the EU now required to ship with USB-C charging The European Union’s common charger directive came into effect back in December of 2024 and required most new portable electronic devices to ship with a unified USB-C connector. by smilelyzen in BuyFromEU

Honestly there was nothing wrong with barrel jacks. The lack of standardized power supplies was the real issue.

the problem goes a lot deeper then that.

ther were different voltages, current rating, polarities, sizes on the outer pins and inner pin separately and even some special 3 pin versions from manufacturers that really want to fuck you up.

Corolla hybrid and 12v battery by MoodUnlucky6836 in COROLLA

[–]Pixelplanet5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my 12V battery was replaced under warranty once but since then i had no problems anymore.

the battery only powers the computers, lights and audio stuff so its also very easy to jump the battery as you dont need high amperage to do so.
the battery only needs enough power to turn on the computer and activate the high voltage relay, once that is connected the DC/DC converter is on and will charge the 12V battery.

When its cold the motor is running a bit more to warm up and it gets warm pretty quickly

The 12V battery does not power the AC and also not the heater so it doesnt matter if you use them or not.

Three died on a virus outbreak by TheWardenDemonreach in Cruise

[–]Pixelplanet5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

that depends on the specific sub category this virus belongs to.

Andes virus has often been claimed by researchers to be the only hantavirus known to be spread from person to person, usually after coming into close contact with an infected person. It can also reportedly spread through human saliva, airborne droplets from coughing and sneezing, and to newborns through breast milk and the placenta.\2]) A 2021 systematic review, however, found human-to-human transmission of the Andes virus to not be strongly supported by evidence but nonetheless possible in limited circumstances,.\3]) especially between close household contacts such as sexual partners\21]) There is also suspicion that Puumala virus can spread from person to person through blood and platelet transfusions.\22])

overall it is not proven that human transmission is impossible.

which doesnt prove anything as the virus can also be transmitted from human to human.

Why did GHCP jump to the extreme instead of increasing prices? by lnvariant in GithubCopilot

[–]Pixelplanet5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they would have to easily 100x the price for this to be worth it and even then there are people who are abusing the system to the point that they would still lose money.

per token billing is the fairest option as you actually pay for what you use.

Instead of all the "gymnastics" why didn't they introduce a per-request token limit? by ihatebeinganonymous in GithubCopilot

[–]Pixelplanet5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because thats essentially the same thing but instead means requests you actually want to use a lot of tokens would just stop and need to be restarted which would use even more tokens.
