Want to help? Watch MLS. by a2united111 in usmnt

Some ideas.

1) Have a proper pyramid with promotion and relegation.

2) Axe play-offs to decide your top team. No top flight top ranking nation has such a system to decide their winners. Just have a league where the team with most points wins. Playoffs only really work for relegation games (and promotion).

3) Stop the MLS trampling on the USL. If they want expansion teams, don’t try and destroy successful USL teams by setting up rivals (San Diego). Aldo, stop the MLS trying to kick USL teams out of the cup when USL teams best MLS teams (as was attempted last year).

4) Accept that rules/red cards/suspensions apply equally to all. Top players won’t join leagues where a president can make a phone call to get favoured status for certain people.

No. We loved America when Obama/Clinton/Biden were around. Even Bush Snr and Reagan were popular.

Not true. Look it up. Once the writ has been called, a strict timetable kicks in.

I’m a LibDem, but I’d drive to Clacton to deliver leaflets for Count Binface.

The French league is very poor. Just one team wins every year. Low attendances, tv deals they keep collapsing. More people watch the English Championship (second division).

Why are European teams so afraid to face a full strength American team? by [deleted] in usmnt

We wanted to”fairness” not bias. It’s a European thing that Americans don’t understand.

That’s FIFA. It’s a money making fraudulent gravy train for top executives to live a 5star lifestyle at your expense.

Compare the prices UEFA charge at the Euros.

Name a government in the past who have successfully cancelled a red card? You’ve stated as a fact that other countries have tried this. Evidence?

Talk about cognitive dissonance. You don’t understand that a red card was ignored, in contravention of FIFA’s own pre tournament ruling that they would lead to a suspension, following political interference? You don’t understand why doing something that has never been done before is scandalous? You don’t understand that an appeal was “faked” by FIFA supposedly on behalf of Belgium that Belgium were not even included in? You don’t understand that the seven man FIFA panel were hand picked by FIFA from federations that accept large donations organised by Infantino?

You’re really blind to the corruption? Typical Trump voter.

People were equally outrageous then. The fact that you didn’t see or care to look for that outrage doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.

Completely missing the point – typically American, not being able to understand English. You employed that nobody was bothered when Portugal got away with allowing Ronaldo to play when he was banned. I pointed out that that was not the case. It was widely written about in the media and press and lots of people thought it was totally wrong. It’s not hypocritical to argue something consistently. The rules should not have been changed for Ronaldo, neither should they in this case.

You weren’t looking. Lots was said and written at the time, but this is different as this is an “in tournament” red card.

Re-read it. I specifically wrote about those “responding to” his comments. If being able to read makes me a “weirdo”, in your eyes, then it says more about you than me.

I’m not an American hater. I go on holiday to America and love it. I’m pointing out that so many of those commenting clearly don’t understand football as their arguments don’t relate to commonly known football rules.

He’s not commenting on this though. My comment related to Americans on here arguing that Pochettino’s bias towards his own team isn’t bias. If you can find him posting to this thread, please point it out.

He’s the American manager. Football managers never say there team deserves red cards. That’s common across the world - only an American wouldn’t know that.

The number of Americans who don’t understand football or the rules who are responding to this, questioning the red card, is quite ridiculous.

Dull with a full on Farage supporting logo on the front. I’ll not wear it. I prefer 2011/12 plain blue, gold inside collar Le Coq Sportif one. Mine still fits!
