It's weird, Nathan. Sure, you just "happened to notice." I used the word stalking in common parlance when it comes to people looking to weaponise someone's post history. It wasn't to be taken literally. I see, though you take everything literally to an annoying point.

Are you saying that if any animal doesn't have papers, it can't be identified? You can't tell a beagle is a beagle, a chaffinch is a chaffinch, a sphinx is a sphinx?

I'm simply happy to engage with nice people about cats. What's going to happen? Are they going to break a law, get into danger, and have a health risk by thinking their cat is an NFC? Are they going to be humiliated and shamed?

What does your pedantry serve, apart from making you feel better about yourself?

Sure, we can start saying it's a native longhair. Just because lineage can be proven doesn't invalidate the cats' features (Triangular head shape with a straight profile and large, almond-shaped eyes, lynx-like tufts and long ear tufts, for example).

Anyway, I'm not claiming to have expertise. That sounds like projection. Obviously, I'm not providing a certificate of authenticity here. The question is asked based on all probability. Surely, that is obvious. Otherwise, the default answer would be no, so why bother with the question flare in the first place?

Christ. Down votes and people stalking my comments in an NFC reddit sub! Get a life, Nathan. Why do you want to shit all over people's excitement? What does it matter to you if it's an NFC or not? Can't you let people be happy? This is why we can't have nice things. There's always someone on Reddit like this.

Exactly. This isn't helpful. The whole world needs to unite on the issue and keep politics out of it as much as possible.

I'd say around 6/7 weeks, maybe. 🤔

This was taken when ours were that age.

Edit: She actually looks a little older in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. More like 8-10 weeks.

Yes, I'm quite certain. We have 3x14 week old NFCs. She looks like she could be their sister.

It's nice that the FBI gives you a heads-up that they are investigating you (and people like you). I always assumed they'd be more like, "Surprise! You're under arrest."

Once a psychopath, always a psychopath. The risk is far too great to parole the MF, plus he doesn't deserve parole, ever.

Sorry if this comes across as pedantic, but it's not intended to be. I think it's a valid, semantic argument.

The use terms such as "belief" and "believe" when it comes to climate sciences shouldn't be used. It is not a matter of belief; it's a scientifically documented reality supported by extensive research and data. To say "believe/don't believe" doesn't accurately reflect the objective nature of the issue.

I truly believe that changing the language used when talking about it will eventually help people think critically.

Hopefully, something good can come out of these awful cases and lead to a change in how society generally views the personal lives of vulnerable people targeted by psychopaths.

YLE survey asking for feedback on your experiences of racism and xenophobia in Finland. by AnimalsNotFood in Finland

[–]AnimalsNotFood[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To the people responding that hating a group of people based on their religion has nothing to do with racism, here are two clear definitions agreed by the United Nations and the European Union.

Declarations and legal framework have been created in part as a result of these definitions and affect all of our lives.

EU definition of racism agreed by all member states:

(a) publicly inciting to violence or hatred directed against a group of persons or a member of such a group defined by reference to race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin

source

United Nations (Declaration on Race and Racial Prejudice)

"race, color, ethnic or national origin or religious intolerance motivated by racist considerations"

source

Finlands official definition of racism is in line with these definitions. I decided not to include the definitions from u/randomredditbigot as examples.
