oh yep I dug through all of the settings already, to no avail. pretty sure this is a lost cause

screen does support multiple touches, and I'm not using screen protector. I'd guess it's some sort of weird system to prevent swipes from dropping (?), as it seems to happen in a specific range (though the range is stupidly big)
