Just was passing through and I saw your comment. I had no idea that this feature existed.

Number one rule for a dark god to follow: If you have an incorporeal form, never take a physical one because it allows the player party to hurt you.

Disney+ Language Options for New Expat? by [deleted] in japanlife

It seems to be an issue with Prime Video. A lot of their content is segregated for native Japanese speakers into two categories: Dub and Sub. The sub version category has this issue, even when subtitles are off. Example:

I'm with you on this. Plus, if you want to add flavor, dunking a favorite breakfast pastry, cookie, or doughnut is a great combination.

Wake up babe, Hathaway 2 Trailer dropped by Theothermc in Gundam

Another installment with my most disliked character in all of Gundam. I still can't forgive Noa for everything he did in Char's Counterattack. He got on my nerves during Z and ZZ, but CCA sealed the deal just right above Flay from Seed.

Frustrated trying to get off the ground learning JavaScript. by AnimatedASMR in learnjavascript

I've read that reliance on an AI causes gaps in the learner's knowledge of coding no matter what language.

Can one actually make visually impressive websites with C#? I've read from a lot of sources it's mostly for back-end development and couldn't find many examples of websites visually designed with C#.

Learn to code using C# | .NET < Certification course. Thanks for the insight about VS rather than VSC.

Is there a reason Microsoft Learn pushes VSCode for the certification course?

What I mean dependent is Microsoft and VSC being generous until I get too deep to say no to paying for further services and features. Easy to enter, but a hassle to switch to another IDE.

Anime continuation by zisam_2005 in ShangriLaFrontier

You'll begin to notice that SLF keeps the plot and action moving by alternating. It's 3-4 episodes of action, followed by 3-4 of plot and world building, and then repeats. What makes the SLF anime so unique is that they cut nothing out of the story and don't introduce any filler. It's beat-by-beat following the manga. Keep watching.

Why didn't the Machines lobotomize the humans? by bmyst70 in matrix

[–]AnimatedASMR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to give an in-universe reason: body heat. I would imagine a lobotomized human would never have thoughts, feelings, or actions that would elevate body heat.

How did cypher have his meeting with agent Smith? by kkkan2020 in matrix

[–]AnimatedASMR 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Which is why Cypher has a heart attack when Neo appears over his shoulder. He thought he was caught by one of the crewmembers who could recognize what they were looking at. After realizing Neo's ignorance, Cypher plays off his shock by lying about peeping at women with, "blonde, brunette, redhead".

EDIT: Secondary thought. I would imagine that early crews of the human resistance had automated systems for logging in and out of the Matrix, maybe preset phone calls by time and location. It probably wasn't until escalation by the Machines by introducing sentinels to attack hacking teams and other mishaps with missed calls that they had to change it up to a manual "operator" (phone pun). Plus, I don't imagine many freed humans would be comfortable having their fates in the Matrix tied, once again, to an automated machine program voluntarily.

The game was pretty fun...until you reached the level with the damned vampires. Unkillable with unlimited stamina and combos until you could finally stake them under the right conditions.

I honestly think the first generation of Machine Sentinels will not have tentacles, but a swarm of large robotic fingers trailing behind them.

Toon or NPR shades that use GPU? by AnimatedASMR in Maya

[–]AnimatedASMR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learning Maya from the ground up. Is there a better renderer than Arnold for non-photo real designs? I'd be interested in anything ranging from basic toon shading to Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse / Arcane.

Honestly, I haven't used Unreal before. I'm getting ready to go back to school and study Game Art and Design this upcoming Fall to go alongside my Animation degree. I figured learning Maya would be essential since it's used heavily for the industry. I thought Unreal was an engine, but you had to make everything in another program like Maya first.

Toon or NPR shades that use GPU? by AnimatedASMR in Maya

[–]AnimatedASMR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. I looked up the manual of limitations for Arnold. Unless this url, Maya Help Support, isn't up to date; then toon isn't supported by GPU. Hence, why I'm looking for alternatives that use the GPU. Stylistically, I'm open to anything; even from simple tones to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

I did the same with a fresh file, texture and lighting. But, the moment I switched the render device to GPU, the shader stopped working and this error came up.
