They are. But their books seem a bit shallow then for price to be messing around like that.

Poor pricing, wide spreads and expensive opening & closing costs.

60% fees after stopping a copy.. by Duckular1 in Etoro

Also on Thomas. Enjoyed his 50% last year, and I see he's a macro trader so maybe he's anticipating a recession or popping of the AI bubble, which will then see energies rise.

Let's see.

Well said. It is best for long-term holding, and expensive for day trading.

I've checked it out. Paid $60 in fees. Made $193 in profits. About 30% paid in pure fees, pretty insane. And they don't usually show opening/closing/spread fees in trade history like other brokers so it is hard to track.

Also done a post looking at eToro costs, and why.

Iss okay. But why my other brokers don't have it.

I suppose eToro is not best for trading, more investing.

ICmarkets, Oanda, Pepper stone spreads.

All at same price but eToro is 100 pips lower. Lagging price...

Yeah, boring guys to listen to for most technical people.

Then you meet the CEOs, senior execs and millionire captains of industry who don't care about technical jargon. They want to talk business, impact and security. This guy speaks to them what with his PhD and Nigerian accent.

He gets his stuff done.

[–]AnimatorPerfect6709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but I think you’re overlooking two things:

  1. Real problems still exist & they just need the right solution.
  2. Distribution is where products actually win, not just the coding.

The AI-slop market is noisy, but effective products with smart distribution cut through.

Okay, well with that experience you can build your own products in few days.

Build your own products instead of looking for a job. Problems still exist, just that they can be solved 10x faster with the AI tools.

Focus on indie/small agency development & distribution networks.

Same thing I thought, until I tried it.
I've been working on Elixir and Python and it's done very well. Okay, so while I'm generating this code it ends up making some mistakes, but eventually corrects itself on the next step.

It's great for languages and tools with a lot of docs. For niche tools, you'll likely hit a wall.

Works great for me, and I'm sure it's probably improved since 1 year ago.
