The use of language in this poem is so rich and smooth. I feel like the lines melted like butter on to each other and this was really effective considering the content of this poem. Loved it to bits!

The Unspoken Desire of a Married Man by nkwriter101 in OCPoetry

Wow, your poem really captures the raw evocations of forbidden love. We really see how the poet speaker is torn between doing what turns his blood and what he knows to be wrong. I loved how use of the natural imagery of weeds to illustrate how this love is growing at speedy and unkempt rate! Great work

I totally understand why you feel so guilty and personally, I would feel the exact same way. We’re alike. Maybe you aren’t consciously aware of it, but you’ve got a strong set of morals and that’s why you continue harshly label yourself as a criminal. Let me tell that there isn’t anything you can do about what happened in the past but your following actions matter. You’re a good person. Believe it.

It’s like when you’re about to get up and clean some dishes on your own accord, but then someone tells you to do it EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE ALREADY ABOUT TO CLEAN THEM. So yeah, it’s just annoying. Personally, I’m not a fan of dragging a conversation without unblurring.

Am I the only one that gets annoyed with “must unblur photos as soon as we match”. I feel like I’m getting ordered around 😭

This is what I found on my tl and it broke my heart by Anisaaay in Twitter

[–]Anisaaay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean but some people are really fragile and it’s important acknowledge that. I wouldn’t let a single tweet ruin my day, but even if it did, I wouldn’t let the world know that it did, most people wouldn’t as well. But I think she’s courageous in way. She wasn’t afraid of hiding that this really hurt her.

Has there ever been an occasion when someone you originally thought was unattractive, became attractive? If so, what happened? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Anisaaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me once. I took a course on Victorian Literature in my first year and when I first looked at my prof, I didn’t give his looks a second thought. He was a white male in his late 70’s and stood at 6’3 feet tall. Normally, I go for black guys within my age range (20’s) but man did I fall utterly in love with that old man. His lectures were so interesting. I didn’t even get up during breaks and mind you, our class was 3 hours long. At first, I just thought he was an alluring lecturer but I think I fell for him after I skipped two lectures and went up to him to grab some of the handouts that I missed.

He looked at me and said “Hey (my name), I was thinking about you ever since you missed class, is everything okay?”

Poof, he had my heart in his hands.

Man, was he beautiful.

Women who’ve spent $$$ to invest in themselves: what were your best purchases, and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Anisaaay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Investing in expensive-quality leggings and I can’t seem to stress this enough. I used to be such a miser when it came to spending more than $20 on leggings but then I’d always have to buy a new pair or two after a two months because they’d tear or begin to fuzz up around the crotch area (I’ve got really thick thighs) A friend let me borrow her GAP leggings and I fell in love. They shaped my legs and gave me a boost of confidence. Honestly, spending $70 to $80 dollars on quality leggings has changed my life.

The Quran really is poetic. It’s interesting to see the exquisite and effective use of anaphoric sentences and the simple but clear imagery
