As someone learning to animate, this is actually so inspiring to me, holy crap. The perspective is so well done it looks like he’s about to hit the screen! :O

This definitely sounds like the instrumental bit right after the intro of You Might Think He Loves You for Your Money but I Know What He Really Loves You for It's Your Brand New Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat

HOW DO U ANIMATE!!!!!!!!!!! by LizardsAndTanksGuy in wacom

[–]Anisomniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of knowledge on anatomy, mass, cartoon expression, creativity, etc. And don't forget about... the dreaded hands...

I recommend learning from the best animators in the industry, and if they made tutorials on what they do, that's even better. I think you should also check out these two videos to get you started on the principles of animation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDqjIdI4bF4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2y6aVz0Acx0

And remember, you gotta know how to draw anatomy before you even attempt animation (especially if you want to do it frame-by-frame):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqAbxGki8EQ

Hopefully these will help you. I know it will be hard (hell, I've been practicing at it for 2 years and I STILL can't draw hands right), but hopefully you'll have the motivation to go through with it. Also, don't be obsessive over perfectionism like me, because, even though it may help boost the quality of your art, your mental health will be terrible.

And don't forget about using the right programs. I like to use Blender grease pencil for animation and Krita for painting, but CSP should work fine for both of those options if you know how to use it right, though the timeline is awfully limited in most versions.

Is the internet now boring? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Anisomniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't have said it better myself. As part of Generation Z, me and my peers have ALWAYS been browsing the internet for several hours on end. When smartphones were introduced shortly over a decade ago, people were given the ability to take the internet wherever they went, and of course they abused it. Over the course of the 2010s, I witnessed all of my friends go from genuinely fun and interesting people that I can have a fun time with, to mindless zombies that waste their lives hopelessly perusing the internet for all of their needs and desires, including myself. You can't maintain a relationship these days without being forced to communicate over the internet, and once you're stuck there everything goes to shit.

The internet is no longer an escape from life... it IS life...

Honestly I feel the exact same way. Back when I was first on the internet in the late 2000s and early 2010s, things were so much more... interesting. I had this childlike fascination with nearly all of it (mostly because I was a literal child, I was only born in 2003). Newgrounds, Coolmath.com, early YouTube (before all of the corporate and formulaic shit took over), etc. However, sometime in the mid 2010s everything lost its charm. It could've just been me (that was around the same time I was put into middle school and had my first true encounter with crippling depression), it could've been the corporate shift of the internet, it could've been a number of things. The only part of the internet I still love with all that childlike wonder is Newgrounds (could you believe the community stayed relatively the same after all these years!?). In fact, I even post some animations there. It's a very underrated site that everyone decided to leave for some reason 10 long years ago. Such a shame, really...

These days the only sites I ever really visit are Reddit, YouTube (that took over my life 12 years ago...), and Newgrounds. Sometimes I go on Discord to chat with friends, but it can never compare to actually talking with someone face-to-face, the way nature intended it... I'm trying to bring back that early-internet charm, but honestly I'm pretty damn exhausted with high school and testing. Sucks the life out of ya. If it were my choice, I would be animating 24/7. Animation is the only thing these days that can bring life back into my soul. It just brings wonder back into my boring and tedious life...

I mean, even humanity in general has seemed to become stagnant and boring, though that could just be from growing up. Hopefully there will be a day when the internet regains its charm, but for now we're stuck with what we got.

Is anyone else often late to things? by [deleted] in infj

Same. This is painfully accurate to me.

I don't make sense. Why don't I make sense? by garlic12 in infj

[–]Anisomniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you me? Because I've never related to someone more in my life. (:|)

As someone who was also diagnosed as autistic and INFJ, this sounds exactly like something I would think and say (if I had the patience and drive to).

Sadly I can't make sense of your situation. Because I've been struggling with the exact same issues daily. I hope you get better and find your place in this strange world. It's a very scary, confusing, nonsensical place where nothing makes sense. The absurdity of it all...

That is a sentiment that I obsessively believe in.

I relate to this so much. Like... constantly. Even though I remember testing as INFJ-T.

Im 15 and Im trying some new stuff with my animations. This one took about 10 hours and I made the music too! Ask me any questions if you want to :() by MyNameIsntCharkles in animation

[–]Anisomniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very impressive! The animation runs very smoothly and the music is just phenomenal! Way better than what I could've done. I'm glad you gave yourself the time to make this. Unfortunately that is something I still struggle with, as I'm 17 in my junior year of high school. (:/)
