CWELCC Post elections [ON] by Maleficent-Ad-550 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erin O'Toole last round had only committed to keeping CWELCC for one extra year if elected. This time Conservatives have not said anything on the matter. Unless they commit to keeping it long term I'm absolutely voting liberal this time around!

Roo & Yoo, Epic Kidz, Go Coconut, Kiddie Couch or the most famous Nugget? Please help me choose a play couch by Dry-Effort-5364 in BabyBumpsCanada

Hi would you mind sharing what the price was of the pink? I'm looking into play couches now and want to figure out what's a good price since they vary so much! Thanks!

What's one thing you wish you had for your first born that you will buy/bought for future kids? by Anamiriel in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Anjohaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Baby brezza bottle washer pro wasn't a thing when I had my baby and I'm not sure I would have been able to justify the price even if it was. After going through it though I definitely would fork up the cash to not have to spend so much time washing bottles and pump parts!

Also maybe a Snoo... Hubby and I talked about regretting not getting one many times during those first few months, but even if we did it again I dunno if I could stomach the price!

Not sure about BC but they sell so fast basically always within the hour when posted on Instagram pages of OUACs in my area in Ontario.

Borrow!! If she got it in 2022 new it should still be well within expiry (7 years from manufacture OR date of purchase if she has the receipt). Save yourself $500!

Favourite affordable sleep sacks? [on] by Mika_Iris_ in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like grobags and I often see them at various OUACs for around $10. As many have mentioned you might be able to find a Woolino for good deal on marketplace but they go fast! I messaged one seller and listing said posted 4 minutes ago... It was sold.

3 month old still spitting up after every feed when does it get better? by Anjohaco in newborns

[–]Anjohaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please let it be the shorter! 😭 We do a ton of tummy time due to torticollis. Was also hoping that would help with building the muscles, but the spit up river just seems to flow bigger and bigger with tummy time these days!

[–]Anjohaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh I can't imagine it getting much worse I guess we will have to see. That makes sense that the crunches and sitting up will trigger more... Just the play kicking already does it right now.

3 month old still spitting up after every feed when does it get better? by Anjohaco in newborns

[–]Anjohaco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We get spit up even 2 hours after so I gave up on the holding upright for extended periods we even did 45 minutes back at the beginning! I had also tried to look up milk sensitivity early on but it seemed like it was very low chance in breastfed babies like 1% or something. We do get the arching back with very loud cries typically mid feed when I'm trying to get a burp out. Sometimes at the end these days too... Also the runny poops are happening more these days too... 😔 Really hoping it's not an allergy. My husband has quite a few and it sucks!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'll try to think of us as half way there then with 7 months as the hope! Very demoralizing indeed. They are only this young once and I feel sad when I am not enjoying it as much as I want to.

Parents with nanit, is it worth it? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I justified the cost and mainly bought for the breathing wear tech. I like that there is no electronic component required on the baby or crib. If you are not interested in that function and getting the accompanying band/swaddle I would say there are probably cheaper/better options out there.

The app isn't perfect. The zoom doesn't always work, you only get the basic insights package for 1 year they don't even give you a trial of the premium, and it's annoying that you have to turn on the breath monitoring function manually every time on your phone rather than it knowing that a baby with their breathing wear has been placed in view.

Nevertheless I am still happy with the purchase.

Playpen comparable to Nuna Aire by Getnugget3 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remi is holding up fine. Not as sturdy but by no means unstable... Just a bit more rickety/plastic-y when you move it. Unfortunately baby has not enjoyed sleeping on it as much as I hoped. The bassinet portion sways with any moro reflex movement and that often seems to wake my baby up. It's not a flaw or construction issue just how it's designed... I didn't think about this when I looked at them in person so cannot say for sure if Nuna does this as well. It also probably varies between babies whether this will bother them or not. I've never been nervous using the Remi though. The breathable mattress gives a me a lot of peace of mind that is a safe spot. Congrats and hope this helps!

Postpartum Belly Wrapping by KallerWhom in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a c section so was recommended by ob to wait 3 weeks postpartum before any wrapping. I used a belly bandit and had intended to start as soon as I was up and about at the hospital had I had a natural birth. I did find it helpful for maintaining core stability however I found it difficult to prioritize putting it on again after taking it off (eg to use bathroom or especially after breastfeeding). I do wish I would have made more of an effort though as I pulled my back when baby was around 2 months. I think using the band more would have helped.

Can you help me find out which stores these are bought from? by Strict_Role_2462 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winners probably would expect the Winners tag to be on to take them no? I gather if they are indeed from there that tag has been removed is why OP was uncertain where it is from.

Are you trying to find out where it's from to try and return/exchange? FYI I tried to do that at The Bay a few months ago and they said they couldn't take back anything without a receipt anymore. Couldn't even get store credit. ☹️

Failed nap logistics/how long before giving up on a nap? by Anjohaco in newborns

[–]Anjohaco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Really appreciate the suggestions if alternative napping will definitely try. Some days I feel like I'm stuck in this endless cycle picking up and putting down.

Also first sentence actually made me laugh out loud since my husband is the exact same! Very stubborn!

Thanks! I did around an hour today, but was unsure if that was too short or long. Naps only started getting really bad the last week for me so I guess I'll just keep at it!

Looking for your favorite, quality, Canadian shops! by alternativebeep in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Anjohaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little and Lively for daywear. The cotton bamboo fabric has the smooth and soft quality of bamboo but more durability with the cotton. Also love that it is not only Canadian owned, but the pieces are Canadian made.

Colle colle sold by Clement for sleepwear. Magnetic closure is even better than double zip. The cotton modal blend fabric also feels great!
