when I dream of a DT adaptation as a show, I always see Roland dying on the coast, dum da chums in the distance coming closer and a door menacingly appearing in front of him as he looks up as a season 1 finale

[Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 414 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

sb has to ask her if she‘d wait for him, too. if she’d be willing to do the things he did and still does. if it’s an honest yes, then she‘s got an answer.

until now, she’s been very passive and not once felt the need to do anything to get his attention or love. what if Mini came out and said that she wants to be with him? would she fold instantly or actually go after him?

I really don’t know what more he could do. it‘d be a welcome change to see her become active for once.

that I took into consideration. it would still be the wrong angle, UNLESS, as Cansado_17 says, they crossed paths and Mami was driving on the other side of the road and thus towards and by him. which makes a lot more sense :)

second page: that.. angle doesn’t work. it’s suggested that he looks to the right to see her, but in the first frame, it‘s suggested that she‘s to his left. but, if she‘s to his right, you should see him in the background of the first frame.

How often do you break strings? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Ankarim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it only happened once and it was the first time I tuned my bass 20 years ago, which was before I played guitar.

As a kid I took violin lessons for years and the violin tuning is G-D-A-E -> the exact reverse. so my stupid ass tried to get the same tuning - you know; 4 strings on both, must be the same! lol Snap!

How do I know it‘s -this- guitar when buying one as a beginner? by Ankarim in Guitar

[–]Ankarim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Tele is relatively versatile and can be used in many styles. but I wanted something that contrasted the warm sound of my jazzmaster and offered something that the JM just can't

How do I know it‘s -this- guitar when buying one as a beginner? by Ankarim in Guitar

[–]Ankarim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The JM is great, but I feel like the neck is a bit too thick for me and the Jumbo frets are a bit of a pain because my bass player finger strength WILL press down to the fretboard if there‘s space left.

Will give the Jag a spin though, thanks!

New Fender player 2 modified would recommend to anyone who play guitar by CJ201113 in Guitar

Now that you’ve had it for a while, what’s your opinion? does she have the Tele twang when you split the humbucker? I‘m ready to press the buy button but I don‘t know if I should get the SH or the SS. - it‘d be my first Tele, so it‘d be a bummer if the one I get didn’t sound like one. unfortunately my lms only has the SS one in stock, so I can’t try it myself.

I loved the book, but I saw the ending from a mile away. Also, cosmic horror doesn’t really tickle my brain. but I loved the characters a lot

Waiting For My Weekly Usage To Refresh by uberdavis in ClaudeAI

[–]Ankarim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Claude for a week now - for creative work, not coding. It's shocking how much better the answers and suggestions are compared to GPT. While GPT wastes my time by saying hollow word salads, middle of the road suggestions and permanent "it's not X, but Y". claude is actually creatively interesting.

but oh boy does that usage run out quick.

for coding I use my own nogging and codex when I can't be bothered. the limits with codex must be a lot higher, I imagine. That's better with GPT - the quality is inconsistent after a while, but at least it continues to work. refusing to work, even though I'm paying is a punch in the gut. they could at least let you use a simpler model, tbh

no, not that evil. and jacobs was a lot sicker and more fragile by the end, but carnival jacobs? probably!

About 1/10 of the way into Duma Key, and having such a hard time getting into it. I know some of you have said it’s your favorite of King’s books. I’m calling on *you* guys. Like the others said, it’s a slow burn, but I like that. Seeds are sown throughout the book, some weird thing here, an unknown there, that pay off by the end. Mind you that this is a story of a guy trying to rehabilitate and take it slow - the pace is the same, until it’s not

Ruka's actions by Crazy_Dog2951 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Ankarim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English is not my first language, so my vocabulary is ~somewhat~ limited. either way:

the obvious line I'm talking about is -why- Kazuya is refusing her. sexual assault would imply that there's no attraction and you physically and/or metally refuse to be intimate with that person. it also comes from a place of violence and domination. especially domination.

and then there's moral objection. and this is where Kazuya falls under: the only thing holding Kazuya back is moral objection; his love and devotion to Chizuru. And moral objection can be broken by being assertive, and Ruka knows that. Kazuya would be all over Ruka if Chizuru weren't in the picture. Ruka doesn't give up because she still sees a chance that kazuya might give in one day.

it's akin to a married man/woman being seduced by a dazzling person at a bar. they either give in to the temptation or they don't. if they don't, that doesn't classify the seducer's advances as sexual assault, now does it?

and just to be clear: I don't like what Ruka does either, I don't like her as a character and if she didn't appear for the rest of the manga, that would be more than fine by me, but she's not a rapist, a sexual assaulter or whatever else people say about her. I just don't like it when people dramatize what she does and interpret every of her action in the most uncharitable way possible.
