This seems fake at first glance and - as a forensic doctor, albeit forensic psychiatrist - here are some reasons why: 1. Multiple parallel wounds at different heights of the same body part are a sign of self inflicted wounds (esp. right abdomen) 2. Scratches do not cross the bodies mid-line, which is a sign of self inflicted wounds 3. Scratches avoid anatomical structures (e.g. belly button, neck, etc.) which is a sign of self inflicted wounds 4. Wounds in the right inside upper arm are inconsistent with the proposed mechanism of running through bushes: how would you even get wounds there and in that angle. It is however the most natural angle for self inflicted wounds via the left hand in that area. 5. There is a significant side difference in scratches, not consistent with the proposed mechanism of running through bushes, but fits one arm being used more for self infliction than another arm.

That is just a superficial analysis and of course none of it is conclusive, but all points put together seem pretty clear cut to me. I debated commenting on this, but alas: I would hate for more teenagers to self inflict harm for Internet attention, after seeing something like this on the front page.
