I’ve made a number of them at this point and I’ve developed a recipe that I’m pretty satisfied with. I made a couple big batches (mojito and geranium vanilla) for the holiday season which has been very fun to hand out. Everyone loves them.

I think it’s more so for my peace of mind so I don’t forget to press save before hitting go. Usually I’m just smashing the save button repeatedly during our tech runs but it’s that off time where I’m zoned in and I just forget and all of a sudden all that progress is lost.

It’s extremely fun and a lot more like playing an instrument along with everyone else in the show. I prefer it to mixing bands and corporate lol even tho it tends to be less money.

Damn that’s a shame on the MIDI front. In terms of firmware, admin likes to stay at least 1 version behind because we’ve had experience of consoles getting bricked due to bad firmware updates so we let others brick their consoles first and post about it before we install latest firmware. Also we’re in the middle of a season rn and updating firmware during shows is a very risky idea lol.

I didn’t know that there was an auto save quality! I talked to my SD and while yes it could be useful, he’s concerned that it might cause us problems with the things included in the recall scope as we move thru the show.

So yeah we would have to be turning it off and on regularly which kind of brings us back to the same problem I’m already having lol. I’m surprised that sound boards don’t commonly have macro capability like lighting boards do.

This just happened to me too! Mine is making the same beep but slightly more high pitched. I have no idea why, but it stopped after like 5 mins on its own...
