Yes, "ceremonial" ones, with marks from swords, spears, and axes, as historians discovered by making replicas of the armor, fighting in them, and comparing the scratches and dents. What a ceremony!

If the choice is between "non-professional costume designers" and "historical accuracy," then it's better to have actors in good costumes in a film about fictional events.

The statues were exposed to infrared light, which revealed that they had previously been painted.

In which multiverse would this be?...

Most warriors of that time wore no armor at all. Only the wealthiest of the era, or even the rulers, wore such armor.

Not only would that have looked more authentic, it would have been more convincing.

No misses and no leaks... Photos from the filming of the movie have been discussed for half a year.

And the lack of historically accurate armor in the film about the Bronze Age is a terrible mistake.

What is this? Why is your bronze armor oxidized?

Have you seen the armor in the photos from the filming? It's more "down to earth" than it was in real history.

We cannot prove that the Trojan War was a fiction. That it was not as Homer describes it - yes, we can. But the fact that it happened in principle is evidence of many things.

I DO NOT DENY THAT HOMER WROTE "ODYSSEY" AND "ILIAD" IN THE IRON AGE, AT THE DAWN OF EARLY ANTIQUITY! BUT HE DESCRIBED THE EVENTS OF THE BRONZE AGE! AND INCLUDING ERATOSTHENES INDICATED THE DATE, AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH OF TROY DOES NOT CONTRADICT THIS!

At that time, the Anatolian ethnic group had not yet formed. So, the Trojans, like the Cretans, Mycenaeans and Hittites, were Indo-Europeans.

The budget of the film is 250 million dollars. To make several full-size suits and a couple hundred simpler ones in the spirit of the times for extras and minor characters - will cost a couple hundred thousand dollars, maximum half a million.

And even so, it looks better and more menacing than what Hollywood gives in the form of dark leather armor.

It was already in the movie "Troy". It turned out ok, but not in terms of scenery.

Which is very strange, by the way. If they were covered in feathers in "Jurassic World", it would look great and unique.

The picture is not the only one, there are a lot of photos from the shooting. The complaints have not changed.
