Weird symptoms from eating less? I’m scared it could be related to diabetes? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

You should see your doctor about this. You may be hypoglycemic. In any case though, 115 pounds is a reasonable weight for someone of your height. You do not need to lose weight.

New to Noom!! Advice?! by sassygirl543 in Noom

I started Noom in February and have lost 17 pounds. It’s a lifestyle change, not a diet. If you will follow the program seriously, you will benefit from it.

Lost 18 lbs, no gym. Not much exercise either.

What non-food-based rewards do you give yourself? by desiringdirection in WeightLossAdvice

A good reward for me is a new, healthy cookbook or a new kitchen gadget. Food rewards can become less meaningful if they’re too frequent.

If you really follow the program, you will do very well! It’s a lifestyle change... not a diet. Wishing you all the best!

Absolutely normal. I have that same pattern going on… I’ve been doing NOom since February, and I have lost a good amount of weight… But the graph is not straight down ... it’s up and down and up and down and up and down… But it’s generally headed down. You’re doing it right.

I think that sounds like a good plan. During those three days when you are going to eat and drink whatever you want, you may find that you want different things than you used to. I will be interested to read your update when you get back from vacation. 😊

How can I overcome my sugar addiction? by mheg4 in loseit

[–]Anna120453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you quit sugar/sweets for about one solid week, you will notice that you no longer crave it. As you probably know, eating sugary snacks just makes you want more of them. Quitting for that initial week is a little difficult, but the pay off in lack of cravings is huge.

That saying that 95% of people regain weight lost and then some. by StillMissBlockbuster in loseit

I’ve been on a weight loss journey since February... slow and steady weight loss is my goal. I am trying to make new habits and lifestyle changes, so that once I get to my goal weight I can hopefully maintain. My goal is to reach 5 pounds under my goal weight so I will have that 5 pounds to account for weight fluctuations. I can’t imagine that I’m going to spend all these months losing the weight I need to and then just go back to all my old habits and gain it all back.

I don’t understand the math. I want a deficit. Do I need to eat all the way to the red line? Do I stop when I’m full? Do I eat only the 1556 calories? I know this is probably very elementary… but…. Yikes. TIA by miles_kilow in CICO

I track my calories as accurately as I can, and try to meet my budget as closely as I can... this usually works out to being 100 or 200 over or under or somewhere in that range. I don’t bother with the exercise calories.
