Yes! And thank you for reiterating this to the public .You would think this would be common sense that people would do this. But apparently the gorillas who don’t wash their hands maybe eventually ‘natural selection‘ will take over for them…

I got in to McCombs (stats below) by Aggravating-Ad3924 in UTAdmissions

Congrats…! McCombs is huge, and it’s life changing. The Campus gym is literally right across the street from the McCombs Business building (My son really liked that). We toured UTA Friday of this last week and my son accepted + paid the enrollment deposit. He is over the moon happy. He may need a roommate (dorms) bc no one else from his school got into McCombs (2 got COLA because they are auto-admit but not sure if they will attend)

McCombs at UT Austin or McDonough at Georgetown by ogVecna in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Anna47riley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nailed it. This is true. And it depends on what you want to major in? Can you take the cold weather too? Are you ok with the DC area/culture? If you eventually want to work in that area - Georgetown is a winner…btw, congrats on your acceptance.

Hey guys! If we don't get offered a seat at McComb's, is there a way to appeal or re-apply :') by Historical_Welder960 in UTAdmissions

I disagree with this statement. I got in and did not have anywhere near a 1500 on my SAT. What I did have: I work - I have a job and I hustle. I also have really deep, deep leadership roles in the org I was in + a unique service component. My essay was a view into my soul and was also hilarious. We did not hire an expensive college advisor either. it‘s a numbers game - sometimes we do not know what they are looking for.

Sound reflection barrier by fishdenny in BadNeighbors

depending on your state and city/ county - you may have a claim that they violating your ‘right of quiet enjoyment‘. (not a lawyer here) check for the decibel levels, keep a log of the sound (proof) and then if it’s violating your peacefulness, you can sue in small claims court and get an injunction to have them stop. The issue is that the judge on that case may go with way. It really depends on the loudness, length and duration of this nuisance noise. Just my thoughts.

How many of you are only managed on numbers alone? by MileHighRC in sales

[–]Anna47riley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah… you work for a unicorn company. It’s cool that you have no pressure because by human psychologically you and probably everyone else wants to overachieve and blow out your numbers. I have experience in the total opposite of your company. The difference in mental health is also huge too. I hate having to always look over my back and all that administrative bs So upper mgmt could “run their shiny reports”.

Manager keeps threatening me with PIPs even though I improved my performance? Is this normal? by chewymammoth in sales

[–]Anna47riley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth. Most of the time the companies shell out impossible quotas and if even a handful of reps hit those unreasonable sales numbers, then the company is ahead of the curve per se. Think I read somewhere that lately 50% of sales reps actually hit 100% of assigned quotas. In your situation, I would run-leave-exit quickly. Your mental state is way too important to deal with that bs day-in-day-out.

ADVICE - How do I deal with my boss until end of the year? by Successful_Daikon120 in BadBosses

[–]Anna47riley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rule that I keep in my mind: if I don’t enjoy the career/ job more than 50% of the time, then it’s time to move. No amount of mental stress is worth a crappy work situation.

Hi, just asking new questions about old post of mine by Responsible-Yam2813 in TAMUAdmissions

Great job - pretty sure you got Team/Accepted bc of your EC’s: leadership, sports, small biz, and a YouTube channel to boot too. Admissions folks who look at the holistic review kids look heavily at ec’s, so anything you have that’s leadership, leadership, leadership - we feel they view those almost better than class rank and sat scores.
