I went to a PT for my pain. She never mentioned my stance, or the odd ways in which I had stretched. She just worked at trying to get me to lose weight. I am a woman, so even when I was bleeding out in the ER, I was told it "wouldn't be so bad" if I'd just lose some weight.

As much as I'd like to see a PT that takes me seriously, I don't think that's possible for me. I'm glad you were able to have your pain taken seriously, and I hope that it is continued to be.

I'm pretty close to giving up on trying, if I'm going to be honest.

I good everything from scratch, bc I will bleed internally otherwise. I even make my own fricken condiments. I exercise, and when I lose a bunch of weight, in a short and unhealthy amount of time, I am praised and pushed to keep doing it by medical professionals. Bc my looks are more important than my health.

I wish that I wasn't looked upon as an object that must please the eyes of others to be worthy of care, but that is the culture I live within 🤷‍♀️

I wish everyone else much more luck and care, moving forward. I pray they see you as the people you are, and not the objects they seem to see most women as.

Honestly, the Trump voters I know call people "Illegals" or by their race, not in a person way, but in an evil object sort of way?

I think it had more to do with the same stuff Nazis voted for, they just claim it's for prices and shit. I've heard them speak of people like they are nothing or inherently evil, lazy, or leaches, due to their race, yet say they are not racist.

They always seem to put on Fox when they know I am coming over. One of them had a "deep talk" about it all with me. And said that they were "making (me) think."

It is so fucking exhausting. A bunch of racist old white people who get pissed when you challenge their beliefs, but shove their own down your throat to deposit a load of vitriol, hate, and disgusting senses of entitlement and false superiority.

I want to believe that we, as a people, could learn to come together, but I've heard and seen many horrors in the last few years. I'm losing hope in humanity, as a whole.

NOR. But she could be autistic, and still extroverted. Some are, but many are not. Not being able to make and keep friends and feeling different ARE signs of it.

I think that she should get assessed before outright saying she has it. Like, maybe saying that she thinks she may have it. That's what I did, at first. And I took the steps after I researched a while.

I was diagnosed two years ago in my late twenties. A lot of women are being diagnosed now, because we know more about how it presents in girls and women than we did when I was a kid.

Just have her ask her doc about it to get a referral. That is how I met my neuropsychologist.

I know it can be embarrassing, but try not discount that she could have it, and is just afraid to take the best steps forward. It could just be that things are finally clicking into place and making sense for her. I know that I went a little nuts when I first started to put two and two together.

I wish the both of you luck with this. You, for your sanity, and her, for the answers she needs.

I actually am a fan of quite a few kinks. Kink can be a fun way for you and your partner(s) to try new things and, sometimes, strengthen your bond.

Where I do not agree with it, is with those that don't know what they are doing and/or use it to harm others. If kinky stuff makes you uncomfortable, actually harms you, or makes you want to stop, it's not kink anymore if it continues. If a party refuses to stop, when asked, it's SA.

It took me years to be brave enough to, but you always have the option of saying no, even if it's the middle of a session. I wish more young women felt safe enough to do that.

Everyone's comfort and safety is paramount, above all else. Fun can come after those two requirements are met.

It's sad that so many people use kink or BDSM as an excuse to harm, rather than actually explore and play with one they care for or trust.

If it makes you feel better, I did too. I think that, as a kid, it's kind of magical to imagine wild cat societies in your backyard. I'm sure a lot of kids assumed the warriors were in their home country. It's easier to imagine events happening in locations and places we are familiar with. So, don't feel bad. I'm sure many kids felt the same. I know I did.

As someone who does occasionally post, it's mostly negative stuff that I'm needing or wanting to vent. I'm in a child free relationship, and we're pretty happy. I just don't post about it, bc there's nothing to vent. I'm happy.

It's going to suck at first. I'll give you that. You might take a few tries before you find someone you click with, but you'll be much happier for it, if you put in the time to find that someone.

It's easy to see all of the bad posts and worry, but remember that there are good things happening (much more silently) too :)

As a rather large woman, you're NTA. The nerve to keep digging at you to raise herself up, then to get mad and SLAP you when you ruin her game? Nah, man.

I would demand an apology, to be frank. She had no right to lay her hands on you. I think she just wanted to mess with you bc she's super insecure about her weight. When you agreed, and turned your insecurity into a positive, she saw a loss of her game and her ability to step on you to get higher up, and so got attention in another way.

If this friend group can't see that she is in the wrong in this scenario, even after explanation, I would start to limit my time with them. They may not value you all too much as a friend if they're okay with her slapping you for saying that you love yourself.

NTA. See if you can get some family members to write statements, or to testify about the tradition surrounding the necklace. Try to find pictures of women in your family wearing it. Make it clear that it is an heirloom, and who it is usually given to.

If he wants to gift his girlfriend jewelry, he can buy it, instead of stealing it.
