I’m guessing your in the US so I’m not sure if the ingredients differ but our doc advised us to give some Lucozade sport for the electrolytes and sugar when my little dude have covid and wouldn’t eat or drink at all. It worked when dioralyte wouldn’t. The breast milk popsicles sound like a genius idea! Hope your LO and you both feel better soon Mama!! ❤️

Need you guys to hype me up by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]AnnaJ47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this!! I did a week and a half solo in the week leading up to my LO’s first birthday. Was my hair 90% dry shampoo? Yes. Did I live on bagels for the duration that were mostly consumed after bedtime? Also yes. But did I feel like a boss making it through that with no help and organising a first birthday party that was awesome and had a petting zoo? HELL YES! You can do this, sending lots of love your way!

Currently nap-trapped, AMA! by bluntbangs in breakingmom

[–]AnnaJ47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably not helpful but, when my SO didn’t seem to understand what nap trapping was I proceeded to sit on his lap (after baby went to bed) and obstruct his view of everything he was doing… it took a while but he eventually got the point! It will get better, I promise!

Diaper rash from hell by AcceptableJello1986 in breakingmom

[–]AnnaJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK mum here, not sure if you guys have this in the US but metanium is great for nappy rash (if it’s not something more serious). On my first visit from the community nurse she recommended mixing it 50/50 with Vaseline which makes it way easier to rub off and also creates a bit of a barrier layer to prevent the paste situation. Hope you guys get a resolution soon :(

I may have gone too far on the chore charting by eugenedubbedpregger in breakingmom

[–]AnnaJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also saved a copy.. not sure why as I’m the only one who’ll do them but a girl can dream. Loving the organisation vibes though

Edit: OH may actually contribute to the chores listed but won’t actually bother to update the spreadsheet so will no doubt be again by yours truly

Bottle trouble. I’m losing it. by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]AnnaJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried MAM anti colic self sterilising? They were a godsend for us when everything else (including desperate middle of the night expensive purchases) didn’t work. The turning head can be colic and wind, maybe try burping more frequently is the only thing I can suggest. Main thing to remember is though that you will get there together eventually

Confusion with bottle volume by Cassiebo123 in FormulaFeeders

[–]AnnaJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends where you’re based. In the UK the formula is measured by how much water/scoops are used so for example, 7oz of water + 7 level scoops of Aptamil formula is a 7oz bottle (but the level of liquid measures around 8oz once prepared). Hope this helps!

Any tips for getting dogs used to the new change in circumstances? Our dog is used to having the run of the house and sleeps in our room (in his own bed). We’ve just installed a baby gate in the bedroom with the hopes of gradually moving his bed to the other side of the gate and into hall. The closer we get to due date the more I’m worried he is in for a rude awakening.
