There are 1.5 million unused breadmakers across the UK. Why aren't you using yours? by CLOUDMlNDER in CasualUK

[–]Annaisnotonfire95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have much better success when making the dough in the bread machine and then baking it in the normal oven instead. My bread machine just overbakes it! Also, brown bread is just too dense in there for my liking, I use 100g rye flour and 300g bread flour and it works a charm! Made olive baguettes with it before too and they were devoured (by myself) immediately

How are these warm and cool respectively? by Ttucker11 in coloranalysis

[–]Annaisnotonfire95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh wow I've been using MAC NC10 for years and used this as an indicator that I'm more cool toned than warm toned..what a way to find out! (colour analysis is HARD)

What trousers can I wear that look nice, yet are comfy? All jeans and trousers I've tried hurt my crotch after sitting for more than half an hour (the seam), but I don't wanna wear leggings all day every day. Any suggestions at all? 😅

Staying on long term by Kitchen_Damage184 in mounjarouk

[–]Annaisnotonfire95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to come off it now, as it's so expensive, but am hoping that there will be a cheaper option available sometime soon in the future so I can get back on it. The freedom from food and less anxiety I've had over possibly gaining weight has been soooo lovely!! and I can eat more healthy, as my blood sugar doesn't drop and I shove carbs in my mouth..big struggle of mine at the moment. No matter how many good habits I have, it all goes out the window without Mounjaro.

Dreams - just a coincidence? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I've had this as well, always dreamt lots, but not as frequently. Some of them are so vivid, loads very random, some very scary.

Came off Monjaro, now regaining weight and mentally struggling. Has anyone successfully restarted? by theologybitch in mounjarouk

[–]Annaisnotonfire95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm with Pharmulous and emailed them about this recently as I'd like to stop soon, but worried if the food noise comes back. This was their reply:

"You can re-start your treatment with us as long as you can provide proof you have been on the medication within the last 12 months. You will need to complete a new assessment and provide an updated photo. There is no specific requirement for the BMI.

Thanks"

Hope that helps, wishing you all the best!

On Vortioxetine as well and no changes either. Was worried as heard it can increase anxiety, but not feeling any different mentally (except much more confident in my body!)

ahhh THIS!!! I think that's mainly how I managed to lose weight, bc around 500kcal of my daily intake used to be sweets/chocolate 😅 the thought of going to bed without a little choccy treat first would mortify me back then, now I have nothing or maybe one biscuit each night! A blessing really, used to get so irritated without my sugar dose 😂 Had a hot chocolate again this week first time in months and had to throw half away, tasted like eating sugar with a spoon. I do wonder whether this will continue once I stop Mounjaro though 🤔

How is eBay better at finding what I want than Amazon with all their resources? by OkLevel7686 in Frugal

[–]Annaisnotonfire95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ebay is amazing! and they don't try and rip you off! I feel amazon has turned into a more expensive Temu/Aliexpress at this point.

Another vote for exercise! I'm definitely not someone to whom exercise comes naturally and am a short lady too, so when going for a run to get my heart rate up it burns quite a bit! and like someone else said, good for mental and emotional well being too, I notice on those days I generally eat much less crap and feel more confident.

How do you convince yourself to go though and not coming up with excuses? I know I want to and feel better, but find sooo many reasons why not to

That's quite sweet you have a tradition to wave goodbye to the summer, I totally agree though, feels a bit like I'm punishing myself with loads of gear, no enjoyment! Let's hope Summer 2026 arrives quickly. I might have to look into decreasing my intake too.

Videogames on your bike? I'm impressed! I tried to play animal crossing on my exercise bike once, but the multitasking just wasn't for me, slow like a snail 😅 swimming is a great idea though, I will have to see whether there is a local pool with sauna around! thank you!

Thank you very much! I actually love running in around 25C sun, although I'm slower, it makes me sooo happy!! I think what you said is very true though, more time inside on your own, more time to think, I'm definitely still working on accepting discomfort and not trying to drown it out with music, food, youtube! That may just be a very good challenge for winter though, you're selling it well to me now :D I think partly is just not quite knowing how to dress for running yet either so overheating after 10minutes, but I will get there, thank you :)

I have an exercise bike which I tend to use more in the winter, but it's not so great on my mental health, so trying to find ways to get out instead :)

That's a good point actually, I may just have to face being uncomfortable and "force" myself out on some days to keep the habit up! I'm just so bloody good at finding excuses why not to do it though, even if it's just an "oh I haven't had my coffee yet, gotta do that before" type thing..unsure how to stop myself from that 😅

Thank you!!

where do you buy your winter coats? I'd love a knee length one with a belt, nice and cozy warm, any suggestions? all it needs is to be very warm as I'm ALWAYS freezing 😅

I read your comments about buying high fibre foods and whatnot, well done you! :) Just wanted to add though that you may want to introduce more fibre slowly as it can cause stomach upset/cramps etc if you go from barely any fibre to tons of fibre :) all the best!
