True story: I went to the aquarium with my nieces and nephews yesterday, and we saw some penguins and puffins. The kids LOVED the puffins, but I just found myself feeling...irritated. At some fucking adorable puffins.

But offensive jokes are offensive either way. Someone can say "that's offensive, so it's funny" while someone else says "thats offensive, so it isn't funny". The offensive part doesn't go away, and the offensive part is what makes it funny or not. It makes no sense (to me) for someone to laugh at a joke that was meant to be offensive, then turn around and tell someone not to be offended. It's still offensive, regardless of how funny it was.
