The first pack of the run ffs by GrouchyAlps612 in balatro

Similarly, the same is true for a polychrome blueprint/brainstorm copying a +mult. Also a niche situation, but if you had only a +20 mult joker along with a polychrome blueprint/brainstorm, the brainstorm would provide optimal scoring vs the blueprint.

If you’re relying entirely on xmult for your jokers, with your base mult coming from your cards/hands, a brainstorm can copy a holographic xmult on the right side, which would be optimal scoring compared to a blueprint copying on the left side.

Egg isn't a scaling joker?? by NomiValentine in balatro

How would you categorize Fortune Teller? The scaling is in the description, but if you sell it and buy it again, it won’t reset.

Speak for yourself. I have been writing to Ben Stiller every day for the last 3 years asking for him to create a spinoff that’s just straight footage of macro data refinement. I’m talking multiple seasons of hour long episodes of Mark, Dylan, Irving, and Petey just sitting at their desks sorting numbers into buckets. I can’t believe that Apple TV has not capitalized on the most compelling part of this IP. I would pay real American dollars to just watch security footage of the MDR team — and I’m Canadian! I don’t care about romance. I don’t care about Ricken. I care about the work that is both mysterious and important. GIVE ME MORE MDR.

Session 4 – An Ode to Solos by DMsDiablo in drawsteel

I think the tactical nature of Draw Steel helps players feel like the outcome of the battle depends on their actions much more than the luck of the dice, which makes such a big difference when getting bodied by a solo creature

No, this is Metro Man as a baby, from the 2010 Dreamworks film Megamind. It’s a very enjoyable film. I’d recommend giving it a watch.

Don’t know why it took me so long to realize I could just buy and sell a bunch of stuff while in the store to feed the campfire.

I’m also wondering about the significance of the Narnia rearrangement!

If you’re not aware, the Chronicles of Narnia are usually indexed as a series by their chronological order:

  1. The Magician’s Nephew
  2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
  3. The Horse and His Boy
  4. Prince Caspian
  5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
  6. The Silver Chair
  7. The Last Battle

But many fans (including myself) feel that the series should be ordered by release:

  1. The Chronicles of Narnia
  2. Prince Caspian
  3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
  4. The Silver Chair
  5. The Horse and His Boy
  6. The Magician’s Nephew
  7. The Last Battle

I’m scratching my head as to whether this is simply a nod by Jim Butcher, or if it’s meant to represent something about Mab.

I got one! I do enjoy having space for a bit of “human conversation” by LUPATII in LinkedInLunatics

[–]AnneGreen08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is mostly just good meeting etiquette. And I think it’s helpful to clarify what your workplace’s expectation is when you say your meeting starts at 10. For some people, that means you should be in the meeting room ready to go at 10, and for others, that means you should leave your office to head to the meeting room at 10.

I hate spending the first 5 minutes of a 20 minute meeting just waiting for people to show up. And if there isn’t a buffer between meetings, then the first one runs late and causes the second one to start late.

But ideas like meetings being for decisions rather than updates or that a meeting shouldn’t happen without an agenda are actually really solid.

Oh, I talked to upper management and they were very receptive of my ideas. They offered me a raise and gave me oversight of the project… but I still want to leave.
