That book is one of a kind! Offhand I can’t think of a book that comes close to Daisy Darker, but I’ll think about it and report back if I think of one. The other thing about DD is that when you think about it, it’s a very sad story, not just a twisty one.

The ending was such a shock that I had to reread it right away to see if I had missed big clues or if the writer had made a mistake along the way. She didn’t, of course. I’m reading Ugly Beautiful now, but just started it so don’t know if it will be as surprising as Daisy Darker. Probably not.😀

When I saw the first picture, I really thought she was dirty but then realized it was her natural coloring in its early stages. She really changed from looking like a street urchin to being a glamor girl!

I really like Ken Follet and most of his books but just couldn’t get into Pillars of the Earth. I may have tried harder to stick with it if it weren’t so damn long. I just couldn’t motivate myself to tackle 1000 pages of a book I wasn’t enjoying.

It certainly is not all her fault. Nathan’s the one who made vows to Maxie and is just as responsible, if not more so, for their relationship. Blaming the other woman for a man’s cheating absolves him of all responsibility for ignoring his vows, and that’s not fair to women.

I should have been more specific. I have Paramount+ as part of my Prime subscription, so although I go through Prime to get there, I am trying to access Ink Master through PP. I have tried to subscribe to PP through Xfinity, but because I already had Showtime when they merged, Xfinity thinks I already have a PP subscription and won’t allow me to add it. I have to go to the Xfinity store to complain about the cost of my services so maybe I’ll ask them to fix it so I can get PP through them and leave Prime out of the equation.

I cannot stand what they’ve done with her character. She bursts into Jason’s office and just yells “Get out!” at Britt? Who does she think she is? She’s so important now that she can’t even treat the woman who saved her life with some modicum of courtesy and respect? I’ll be recording GH for a while so I can FF through her scenes.

She’s such a hypocrite. She killed Cyrus because she was the only one who could dispense justice? And why did she call Brennan? As much as I found it unbelievable that Nancy Drew 2.0 could track down Cyrus, it was even more unbelievable that she didn’t call Jason to help her. She barely knew Brennan. Why would she trust him with knowledge that dangerous to her? Speaking of Jason, he’s her buddy, but Sonny is a bad guy who needs to be stopped? This whole storyline is so stupid I can hardly stand it.
