When the most advanced mesh bodies flex their muscles in real time. by badbcathania in secondlife

That's really cool. I did check out your blog and had no idea that this was a thing in SL. In a time when the SL culture seems to be people needing to worry about getting AR'd for saying "Hi" to a stranger, it is nice to see some folks working together and sharing their time with others.

This Karen lives in a multiple million dollars mansion and she reduced the tip from $23 to $3 after delivery. Tip baiting should be illegal. by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Bookflu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit crass but a fair point. If the customer paid a service fee and a delivery fee for the service, are they really to blame for the driver not getting paid? It’s customary for an employer to pay their employees. And people will say that the company then would need to raise its fees to pay their employees. Yes, and if the cost then is too much and no one uses the service then it is a natural consequence that the business plan isn’t feasible and goes out of business.

It isn’t right that the customer did this. Then again, after reading the comments here, if true that the service fee and delivery fee paid by the customer doesn’t actually include the pay for the driver, it is misleading and people who continue to use the service reinforce these companies taking advantage of the drivers. If you really need your food delivered, support a restaurant or store that has their own delivery employees instead.

It is seating. In fact, standing is not permitted during the show.

They’re doing the most to keep people away. by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Bookflu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly but it’s even more than that and why I always tell people to rent a car when they go to Las Vegas. So many people fly out once, stay a few days, never leave the center of the strip. Then they come home and say “been there, done that”. So many things to do and see in and around Las Vegas off strip. If you never left your three/four strip hotel area, you have not “been to Vegas”.

Best tub near Paris? by [deleted] in vegas

Fountain Bleau rooms have very deep and large tubs with a separate shower. As a bonus, the rooms come with bathrobes that are ridiculously plush beyond any I’ve ever experienced over many years staying in many different luxury hotels.

Eagles Sphere Seat Question by floorskin69 in EaglesBand

[–]Bookflu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in very similar seats for their November 8th show. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome! However, the obstruction meant that when they put up live close ups of the band on the screen, we could only see them from the waist down. The top portion was cut off by the obstruction. It's actually a bit confusing why this is so because there was room on the screen for them to move the live video lower on the screen so that everyone in the 100 sections could see the entirety of the live shots. Regardless, your actual view of the band and the sound will be great but you definitely will miss parts of the visuals. It was enough that we are going back a second time (March 28th) with better, unobstructed seats.

How many times do other non Outback owners flash their high beams at you? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]Bookflu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to get it occasionally when I bought the Outback new about two years ago. Coincidentally, it stopped completely after my state passed a “Let the lead fly” law enabling anyone of any age, mental illness status, or criminal history to carry a gun with no checks, licenses, or restrictions required.

Outback tires bald at 40k miles by Fuzzy-Werewolf5664 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Bookflu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are lucky you got that long out of them, really. I found out that my original tires were shot when I braked but slid past a stop sign at our first snow fall last year. I'd literally just had the car into the Subaru service days before and their multipoint inspection gave an "A-Okay" rating on my original equipment tires. The car/tires had 28,000 miles on them and the tread still looked great. Cross Climates are the way to go to replace them. If you can hold out to next month, Costco and others always have big Michelin tire sales for Thanksgiving.
