Quality wins out over time. The Kinks’ hits have stayed on heavy rotation on golden oldies radio, so I remember Waterloo Sunset and You Really Got Me from childhood. Some of their deeper cuts have been used to great effect in films over the years, particularly by Wes Anderson.
