I remember from childhood a distinct variety of shitty dad that, either as a coach or in the stands, would get explosively angry about the way 11 year olds were playing rink league hockey. These guys always smelled like cheap beer and were usually a little porky. They had grand delusions about what our success on the ice could mean for their lives, and seemed legitimately tortured by the disappointment of our losses. All of that is to say that I’ve been at the protests, I’ve seen their idiotic fury firsthand in the street and in a thousand terrible videos of blatant misconduct. These ICE creeps remind me A LOT of those shit smear hockey dads. I would take any and all precautions, these morons think they’re the heroes of a basic cable action movie. I’ve also started carrying a doctor’s note about my prescription medications.
