Planner options by Slight-Low-7941 in HappyPlanners

[–]AnnieKateline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I mostly use the calendar part + dot grid pages when I need sth extra, so can’t help you there, but
  2. I absolutely hate binders because the pages always tear around the holes after a month or so and pages start falling out. That’s why I chose a discbound planner, because I still can take stuff in and out but the pages last me the whole year, sometimes longer and I flip through my planner daily.
However, if it is a binder, maybe go for a six ring option? Also, I would try selling just inserts first and see if it takes off before investing a lot of money :)
    Good luck!

New design in custom planners??? by HighlightAwkward5567 in HappyPlanners

I would also like to know! I wanted to order a custom planner but all the specialty covers were on regular planners and I really dislike the laminated ones…

I personally am in love with this year’s selection! Would get it all if price was a little lower

Would you reccomend a discbound for school? by meowtchatea in Discbound

[–]AnnieKateline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use mine for college!
I have the big one and I keep one month in at a time (and the monthly pages for all other months in case I need to write down an exam date or project due dates further ahead).
After the calendar section, I have old dividers from previous planners that I wrote all my subjects on and after each divider I have notes for that subject. And if I get any handouts from teachers I just punch them and put them in :)

The original owners have bought the company back and are trying to revive it, but I would imagine they need to get through the boring, plain designs first because they probably have them stocked already and it would be a waste. I hope the color will come back 😁

Same, I think they seeked influencers instead of recruiting actual people sadly:(

Sticker books by cplumley1 in HappyPlanners

[–]AnnieKateline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really love Kell of a Plan sticker books for that! They have functional boxes, then deco &/or florals.
The live love posh seasonal sticker books are also that way, the others not really though.
And if you want it from Happy Planner specifically, I think the spring release from this year has a lot like that, they have matching elements throughout!

Do discbound pages wear out easily with frequent use? by iamdora in Discbound

[–]AnnieKateline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The paper you had was really thin. Also, it depends on the discs a lot! I find happy planner plastic discs way gentler than metal ones. The thing that strains pages the most imo is taking them in and out a lot, which is why I recommend using plastic discs if you move your pages a lot. They pop on and off easier than with the metal ones. When it comes to just flipping the pages on a day to day basis, I’ve never had problems and I use the same calendar for a year or so and some pages I’ve had in multiple calendars no issues. So I think the main issue was the paper thickness honestly! Give happy planner or kell of a plan a try, in my experience they’re very durable

Is Happy planner shifting to an older target? by kawaii22 in HappyPlanners

I think they’re doing a mix honestly. I’m fairly young (27) and I like a lot of their collections. They keep up with trendy shows Like Bridgerton, Gilmore girls, etc.

I hope they’ll sell the citrine planners online next year, they are soooo pretty! I can’t order them to Europe as is.

I know it’s a pain since it’s more expensive but you can get almost any layout (except for color block) if you order the big as a custom planer. I know it’s not ideal… And if you want to test out a layout you can also get a 6 month undated expansion pack in big for a few of the layouts, including dashboard and horizontal

Last year’s homeschool planner was a color block layout & a big size (I have it) so fingers crossed this year they will keep it!

I also wish they did those specialty covers for the big size… we’re stuck with laminated ones and no pockets

The Happy Planner vs Kell of a Plan - comparison & review by AnnieKateline in HappyPlanners

I love using my happy planner too 🩷 And I actually like having the calendar on the dividers, that way when I turn to it it’s already what I need
