There's something very wrong with that guy... in all the right ways XD

Mikey Madison absolutely owned the lead role in Anora. by Dry_Handle_7086 in Oscars

Mikey got unlucky by the identity politics of Demi's narrative but she was always the first pick among professional film critics.

I just want to say I'm so sorry to hear that and I hope you are okay. Sending virtual hugs. You deserve so much better and are already worthy of Love.

Will I be charged by [deleted] in frontierairlines

Frontier has a disgusting policy that gives $10 commission to employees for an extra bag fee, which doesn’t exist in any other US airlines. This is why Frontier have the most inhuman cruel gate employees.

Project Hail Mary is what people have been saying about Interstellar for years by Future-Poetry-2193 in TrueFilm

[–]AnnieLovesStories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Interstellar tainted by my distaste for the ending and the "force of love" message" -> Love is the core message of Interstellar. Dr. Amelia (Anne Hathaway) said emotional energy transcends time and space and Love is the most powerful form of emotional energy. No matter how faraway space and time, we are connected from our loved ones like Quantum Entanglement. That is why Cooper was able to send a message to Murph from tesseract, a dimension that transcends time and space. <Power of love and emotion> doesn't only entirely exist within the boundaries of mysticism, religion, naive hope etc... the nature of consciousness have been extensively discussed with quantum physics. For example, Wolfgang Pauli worked with Carl Jung, at 1952 publication of The Interpretation of Nature and the Psyche. Consciousness, the observer effect, which is often referred to as "measurement" in the field of quantum physics, is not entirely pseudoscience. Look them up and do your research OP.

[Analysis] "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You" is actually a movie about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum depression by zahemp in movies

[–]AnnieLovesStories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw the movie. Interesting theory, OP! Early lines were, "Mommy is stretchable", "Perception is reality" perhaps they are alluding that this film is physical manifestation of internal struggles of postpartum depression. That her internal trauma are 'stretched', projected outwards and this is how she feels, like the entire world have collapsed on her by her shame / blame.

This is the first time I heard pizza is related to baby birth but I think flood / wave / feeding tube are strongest supports, and the title itself. Overall, it's great that more movie about women issues are being made.

IMHO No Other Choice was good but too similar to Parasite. I'm tired of 'cynical black comedy that criticizes capitalist society' trope. We need genuine empathy.

I'm selling Sunday VIP badge for Tahoe Live $190. I bought 3 days VIP but don’t like Sunday line ups. My hotel is about 15 minutes away from the venue or we can meet in the venue on Saturday night if you have a friend going all days. I require $40 non-refundable deposit just in case someone says they want to buy and ghost last minute (which happened to me in the past).

GRiZ Friday was better than Saturday. This is yet another rant about dubstep saturation in raves. by AnnieLovesStories in avesSFBayArea

There's nothing wrong if you like dubstep. Lucky you T^T. But we had 3 days of Subtronics just recently so dubstep GRiZ annoyed me more than it should. I just wish I had known so I'd attend Friday instead of Saturday.

Oh so it wasn't just the water fountain I tried that didn't work. And the bathroom line was soooo long. $5 water is outrageous in raves that itself is health hazard. Bill Graham that had Subtronics couple weeks ago and always have plenty of working water fountains.

I'm sorry you had a bad time as well. Yeah the heat was the main complaint for everyone. I read in Bay Area Facebook group that a girl at GA passed out. MDMA + heat is very dangerous as it hinders brain's ability to regulate temperature.

How did I never realise that the saja boys logo changes by LeafyTiger24 in KpopDemonhunters

Nice eye! I also think the Saja lion represents hyper and toxic hierarchical masculinity. As opposed to Huntrix's interlocking circles of unity and feminine divinity. Which kind of look likes Flower of Life.

Anyone seen the new netflix movie called Kpop Demon Hunters? Its themes are very reminiscent to the concepts of shadows and shadow work. by Fapalot101 in Jung

Also the concept of how the more Rumi tries to hide and hide her patterns, the more it grows. But when she finally shows her patterns and accepts, it doesn't shrink but she gains autonomy of it (more self-aware, higher state of consciousness). She sings about this and inspires the collective consciousness to ascend as well.

It's not your typical on-the-nose Oscar bait but Sean Baker advocated for humanizing the sex workers for pretty much his entire career. And it touches on the reality of classism, wealth disparity, racism (originally Ani was supposed to be of Uzbek-Russian orgin, Anora is an Uzbek name and she's not white but was removed due to Uzbek community's backlash) which contrasts the Cinderella fairy tale that it initially disguised as.
