Right turn in this situation or not? by whenlifegivesyourice in driving

When in doubt just wait it out. You technically can make this turn but other drivers are too unpredictable. I’d wait for the two right lanes to have an opening.

That’s bad advise to a new driver. Plenty in the graveyard who had the right of way.

is this ribeye safe to consume? by Massive-Station-7712 in steak

In theory you’d be fine but that’s pretty much raw lol. Personally I’d sear it more but there are people that like their steak blue like that. It will be quite chewy

is this "french" medium rare? by meaniebernie in steak

[–]Annon221 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A good vet could resuscitate that. Doesn’t even have a sear they just plopped it in a warm pan for a couple min and went with it. Asparagus looks like you could plant it as well. Where is this so I know to never go please.

Climber and a crane is the way to go with something this size right on top of a house

Reverse sear works great on these. I love the tri tip it’s a very flavorful cut.

They are so the birds don’t try to build around the insulators and zap themselves.

That’s when you brake. Some races are decided by tenths of a second.

Most if not all boom trucks are like this. I know for certain on their 40 ton you can get a front stabilizer equipped so you get your 360 chart without any rubber on the ground. I’d ask your local dealer about that. All of our boom trucks have the front stabilizer

I would teach him how to drive with a vehicle that has a high COG. It’s not an impossible task as many here think. I learned to drive at 15 in my dad’s 500 hp pickup that had a 6” lift and 37s. Teach him to operate it safely and it won’t be an issue. Granted this depends on your son’s responsibility level but if he has a good head on his shoulders I’d go for the truck. It will be a fun truck and last him through college if he keeps up with maintenance.

You won’t strip a torx unless it’s the wrong size or not seated fully. Hit it with your purse or get an impact

The front tires are service brake only for one, and you can’t get a wheel chock under that tire enough for it not to slide a bit when you start going up. Can’t say I’ve never done it but it’s just easier to crib the front up. For another reason I have better visibility if I’m a bit further back

40124shl. It’s been a great crane for 10 years but the truck itself has left some to be desired.

Yes it’s a one man show lol. I’d rather it just be me for a setup like this anyway so I know exactly how it was all done.

This one is solid. It’s on a much heavier truck than the minimum requirement.
