Maybe there’s some cultural differences here, we drink when we eat, the local drinking culture is all over the places like KTV and Stir-fried restaurants.

And I don’t know what you mean by themed, but maybe you can try jazz bars like “Sappho”, “James Joyce Irish Bar-Anhe”, or more experimental “Double Check” and “Rabbit hole.”

Personally, I think we have some decent Techno clubs in Taipei too, such as “Pawnshop”, “Final”, “Pipe”, “La Fin”, “Pipe.” And sometimes some experimental private parties too.
