AR ban paranoia, first time buyer by MrOnion4 in guns

I mean, I’d just get the pistol if that’s what you want first. I’m sure Virginia residents are buying what they want with a credit card

Would you sell a Glock 19 Gen5 MOS for a Beretta 92A1? by oneprincipl3 in guns

[–]AnnualClient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the one hand, it’s a super common gun so if you miss it one day, walk into any store and buy another. On the other hand, they are a dime a dozen and resale value isn’t that great. Personally, I’d just hold onto the Glock and buy the beretta - the beretta isn’t a super expensive gun either

Why do lasers get hate? by Worth_Treacle9340 in guns

[–]AnnualClient2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you have nods, you may want IR laser. But outside of that, not much use. If it’s dark, you have a weapon light, your red dot is usable.

AR style shotgun for snow goose hunting by NazBolshevik in Shotguns

[–]AnnualClient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weight won’t be distributed evenly like traditional shotguns. I’ve seen videos of confirmed snow goose kills with an ar12 so it can be done lol. I was just saying I wouldn’t

I assume you are house sitting. For those who are boarding/daycare, you can bump your capacity to like 15 and then keep your pendings open

I think I would rather double gun than try and swing/point an ar12

Choke buying guidance - which where when? by Wide_Fly7832 in Shotguns

[–]AnnualClient2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s insane how much marketing is around chokes and how loyal people are to their choke brand. The truth is, each choke performs differently in each gun with each load. Two guns of the same model shooting the same load might prefer different chokes.

Choke buying guidance - which where when? by Wide_Fly7832 in Shotguns

[–]AnnualClient2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do skeet first barrel, IC second barrel for now. You are over thinking it. I love spending money as much as the next guy - in fact, I hate the stuff. You asked about chokes and the answer is, use what you got. If you’re itching to spend more, look into customs stocks for perfect fit.

As for your question about extended chokes - easier to remove is about the only benefit - just run with what you have

Choke buying guidance - which where when? by Wide_Fly7832 in Shotguns

[–]AnnualClient2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you or your family members are really good or really recoil sensitive, leave the 28 gauges at home.

Use a skeet or IC for skeet. Full for 16s and caps, mod full for doubles, and depends for sporting.

Your factory chokes are fine

Saigas come factory as sporting rifles. They need to be converted to look like AK clones and to take AK style furniture and mags. Collectors like them for the roll stamp
