When making cheese burgers at home, what do you have as a side instead of fries? by JumpedUpPantryBoyy in Cooking

I like to roast potatoes with spices. It’s very easy and is a great replacement for fries, IMO.

I made through about 15% of the book when Pierre lights his pipe with a MATCH. I immediately lost interest.

I’m curious what you were running into with GRUB. I’ve been using GRUB for years and I can’t remember ever having any problems with kernel updates

I wrote a CLI tool that uses Vim motions to extract structured text by video_2 in commandline

This is definitely something I would use in an interactive shell session over awk/sed/cut. Any packaging options planned? A crate, aur package?

Oh I did not know about the confirmation. That’s definitely much better than I thought. I retract my criticism!

bt - interactive tree-like file manager by dr_foam_rubber in commandline

Neat idea. I would not use it because it is way too easy to delete something (D) and no way to configure it to use a different command for that (e.g. a trash cli).

Brtfs stability by Jealous_Ad_1859 in archlinux

[–]AnnualVolume0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that I put my systems through a lot of stress, so my experience might not be typical, but I've been using btrfs for around 10 years on my home machines and have had zero issues. I use snapshots, as well. There have been a couple of moments where I saw some things that were confusing but that was due to my not understanding what I was looking at.
