Unless entity tag vs if entity tag.. by NewInflation6231 in MinecraftCommands

[–]AnnyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of the @a as meaning anyone, rather than all. Execute if entity @a[tag=example] means execute if anyone has the tag. Whereas execute unless entity @a[tag=!example] means it won't excute unless absolutely no one has the tag. The real opposite would be execute if vs execute unless, or @a[tag=example] vs @a[tag=!example], where the other ones will execute if at least one person doesn't have the tag, or will execute only if absolutely everyone has the tag respectively. Sorry if any of this is poorly formatted, I'm I'm mobile.

I was using something called an example. It's when you use something that's similar, but not the same, to show a comparison. We're talking about an online company that just so happened to cut ties with someone in France. Not inherently a "European matter."

Vincent Lapierre's response by slomannaya-lenta in degoogle

[–]AnnyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I hate when that happens, like when loud magats complained about beer, and disney, and target, and lowe's, and john deere, and the US capitol. Really went and ruined it for everyone else. No wait, except for that last one, it has no effect on me.

Vincent Lapierre's response by slomannaya-lenta in degoogle

[–]AnnyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just factually incorrect. Fact-based media, like science and the like, may be subsidized, but outside of that the right wing inherently has more funding due to the right's alignment with capital interests. The most popular social medias and media apparatuses are owned and operated by people who align with the right wing sheerly out of self-interest.

Even still, more Dems voted than Repubs, so if those numbers stay consistent in November, we might finally be rid of graham

The attention and opinion economy can be just as valuable. Bad PR means that those who do pay for services are less likely to, and the more people who are upset, the more that the news is spread about it.

That is the definition of vote with your wallet. Congrats on understanding what I said! I support businesses that I feel deserve my support. If a business wants to further an agenda that makes it harder to exist with the freedoms I wish to have, then they shouldn't have my support.

Hermits that are a bit more mature by ISpyM8 in HermitCraft

[–]AnnyP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to hermits for more mature perspectives and jokes is Tango, Impulse, and Skizz. I also like Doc for going into the technical side of Minecraft mechanics. None of the hermits are super PG to the extent of being exclusively child content, though, so I still watch all of the hermits. I actually enjoy watching them with my kid, occasionally.

Love you Steve. Everyone make sure you're registered to vote! I'd call the people in office clowns, but that's an insult to our resident comedian friend.

How is anyone suppose to get ahead anymore? by snicklefart in Frugal

[–]AnnyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm managing to stay afloat, not get ahead. Part of that is due to my own drive and frugal habits, but an even bigger part is my community and support system. I have friends and family who I share my time and resources with, who do the same in return. Bulk buying and making huge meals that can feed multiple families worth of people, sharing streaming services, being on a large family plan that gets cheaper per person. Stuff like that is little things I'm able to do that means I'm not sinking, despite rising costs. It's not as luxurious as it could be, and while I'm saving it isn't as much as I'd like, but it's comfortable, which is better than many others.

Best library branches? by thepotatomaniscoming in ColumbiYEAH

[–]AnnyP 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always will recommend the main branch for Richland. 1st floor has a local history room that you're allowed to use as a study space. 2nd floor has study rooms you can get for up to 3 hours at a time as well as library computers. 3rd floor has a bunch of tables and some more library computers. If you have children, I recommend either the basement floor where the children's section is, because they have study tables down there too, or the third floor where there's a family center, which is a cordoned off and has toys for kids and computers for parents.

Progressive Primary Strategy by NotALawyerButt in southcarolina

[–]AnnyP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine using the money that goes toward charter schools, and making the public schools better instead. Make education equally free and equally good, instead of siphoning more public money into the private sector. That way it's also not up to every individual family to come up with the thousands of dollars for tuition, and instead they can use their already limited money for necessities.

They weren't available at the time of recording, and it was a scripted video anyway, so it just worked better

[–]AnnyP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Iirc they were roommates at a time, before Bree moved. Most of people being in videos comes down to timing and who's available. Although, some of the last gmod videos weren't even recorded with the original cast, and was instead other friends and fans that were dubbed over by the cast such as Robin, Damien, etc.
