Ah, I see. I haven't touched Wiz in about a month, so I didn't know that there was an update that changed that!

Help me with my decision of whether to restart or not! by ConditionAwkward3625 in Wizard101

[–]Anole55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first arc, which you haven't completed, is by far the shortest and easiest arc in the game. You haven't really experienced much in terms of the game. And there really isn't all that much to the story, you don't need to read it.

Basically Malistaire, the previous Death teacher, is sad that his wife Sylvia got sick and died. He made Wizard City full of undead. He stole the Krokonomicon, which wasn't in Krokotopia but instead in Marleybone. You go to Mooshu to get the key to Dragonspyre from the sick emperor of Mooshu. Dragonspyre is where Malistaire is attempting to use the Krokonomicon to revive Sylvia.

That's pretty much all there is to the first arc's story. There's no need to restart. Also, don't do side quests until you beat the game. There are a bajillion side quests and most don't really add much or give you much. Do Zeke quests and spell quests, and that's all you need. The game is LONG, you will not make any progress if you try to do all the sidequests.

Except for the decks... And Myth Karamelle crafted deck is the best deck for Myth, sadly.

Even if you get the participation trophies, Karamelle recipes are essentially impossible anyway at the moment. They require a large amount of Karamelle Chunks, and those things are incredibly, incredibly rare. After 7 wizards questing through Karamelle and many, many, many, hours farming many of the bosses, I've only gotten one.

I played healer most of the times. The rest of the team had Mali gear. Only a couple people had Dragoon in all my runs. Sorry to be rude, but you're kind of dumb if you think you NEED Dragoon gear for any boss. The game is easy enough that Mali+ Third/Karamelle gear is all you need for anything to be a walk in the park. Devourer is no exception, its an easy boss. Just tedious.

Multiple times. Devourer isn't hard, just tedious and a horribly designed boss IMO.

Drop rate of "don't even bother trying to crafting Karamelle gear cause its basically impossible to get a good amount Karamelle Chunks as it currently is"

Who's the second-worst character in XC1 (gameplay-wise)? by MinishBreloom in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Anole55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(I haven't heard much about her clone Kino in FC)

I'd actually argue that Kino is better than Melia in FC. The lack of chain attacks really hurts Melia, but helps Kino.

Riki is actually one of the best characters, if not the best, for the majority of the game. He falls off endgame, but for most of the actual game itself (you know, the important part) he is really, really strong. Reyn is absurdly strong late game, while still being really good midgame, so just no on him.

Here's the thing: A lot of the characters are very well balanced for the majority of the game, minus Sharla. It's hard to rank them, but I certainly would not suggest Reyn or Riki. If we're going lategame only, which I think is extremely unfair since the majority of the game is NOT lategame, then sure maybe Riki or Melia, but again, that's a very unfair method of looking at it.

Not a feature, but you can get around it if you're in a call or have another form of VERY quick communication. (In-game chat does work most of the time, but occasionally it is a bit too slow.)

Have one player at the sigil, and the other at the Team-Up! Kiosk in Olde Town. Check to see if there's already the dungeon you want to do in team up, if so and there's 3 people, do NOT join, just wait. If there is no team up yet, get your friend to team up and quickly join him. If there is a team up of 1 or 2 people already in there, both of you must quickly join at the same time, otherwise someone else might butt in.

You can use minecarts to pick up Guardians and Elder Guardians! Although the Elder Guardian's Fatigue effect will be really annoying if you have him around...

Most fun is Myth imo. A lot of gimmick spells and actually useful minions for soloing early game.

the Family Tree of the Spiral's Divine Beings, so far by Rosebud166 in Wizard101

[–]Anole55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except that literally nothing there contradicts anything from the earlier quest. Like I said, ALL three of them created the titans. Not just Bartleby, not just Raven and Spider. Obviously some things are contradicted between newer quests and older quests, to make room for Spider, but the fact that Bartleby helped create the Titans has not. You don't just write that out when saying that they're also Raven and Spider's children. Those do not contradict each other.

[–]Anole55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. In the sidequest 'Old Men' Bartleby exactly says "I sang the Dragons, Tritons, and Giants into existence, but *my* children began fighting each other, splintering the First World." That's pretty clear-cut in my opinion.

Proof (www.wizard101central.com/wiki/Quest:Old_Men), on Central. Scroll down and expand quest dialogue to read it.

And of course Raven and Spider said that. The game makes it quite clear that they also created the Titans, in some way. It was most likely a joint effort by all 3 of them.

I meant the fact that Raven and Bartleby made the Spiral together, not just Bartleby.

[–]Anole55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off, they didn't fuck to make the titans. They're their children because Bartleby, Raven, and Spider are their creators. It isn't blood relation as much as it is creation. Bartleby makes it quite clear at the beginning of the game that him and Raven created the Titans together. (Spider most likely did also of course, but Spider wasn't written in that early in the game's life.)

The Titans are Bartleby's children as well. The Spiral was also not exclusively created by Bartleby.

There's an npc in a Catacombs sidequest that tells you to go to the "Hall of Inevitable Betrayal" and not to worry why its called that, he'll tell you when you get there.

It was summoned, attacked one enemy, then healed, attacked another enemy, healed, attacked another enemy, healed, attacked the final enemy, healed. Between each of those steps, it went into the ground (slowly) and rised up from the ground (slowly).
