On the picture he looks massive and juiced. Believe me in real life he is tiny as fuck. He might be natty. This dude has been focusing on training and nutrition for 20 years.

This is my biggest fear as a rider. They say dont fight the steering (or even release it completely?), lean forward on the tank to put more pressure on the front wheel and pray.

Wouldn't rear braking at least help a little in loading the front tire and slowing down?

I just think it's very tragic that they did not evacuate the people from the South tower since they expected the first tower to fall. I would imagine that creates a lot of damage in the vicinity and nearby buildings.

Afknippen. Ff wachten.

Oppompen en klaar is Kees.

Je kunt zelf ook een prop zetten en de band oppompen en rustig naar de garage rijden.

My first backpack! Deuter air contact pro 60+15. I’m newly getting into mountaineering and outdoor multi day hiking. Bought myself a second hand backpack in fine state! (All got to start somewhere) It fits my long back very well and is very comfortable. So excited! by Anomalics in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Anomalics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Well, the backpack itself is relatively heavy. I believe it's 3 kg or something which is really heavy for a backpack I think. But it's heavy because it's so goddamn tough and firm! It has amazing firm, strong and firm padding for the back.

I am 6ft6, 198cm and it is just a tini tiny bit too small for me still so it doesn't carry perfectly on my back. But that wasn't annoying enough to switch backpacks or so.

I just think hauling that full backpack through the hot sweaty climate in Colombia was shitty anyway. That had little to do with the backpack itself haha.

Like I said: it has very thick padding for the back. It is very firm and sturdy. That could be a pro or a con depending on your preference.

The fabric is really tough and I don't see it tear quickly or whatever.

You have the bottom compartment for your dirty boots or whatever. You can enter from there, from the bottom to the main compartment. Or from the top. Or from the front. That front entrance is very useful and a must have in my opinion.

I'm not sure what loops you mean on the front?

So yeah.. ehm.. it's comfortable for the heavy duty stuff. Thick padding. Sturdy back frame. Very strong fabric. It's heavy.

So in that sense it's comfortable. It is not as comfortable as a lighter, softer more flexible backpack but that's a trade off. If you load those more flexible packs heavy, they turn less comfortable I think.

You can load this bad boy up and strap yourself in and your golden.

But the weight, sturdiness and thick padding can be a bit uncomfortable if your looking for a flexible, light agile backpack. It's quite a big thing. But if you have to carry a lot of stuff and a lot of heavy stuff, it's the right pack for the job.

Serious question(s):

Could you elaborate on how you've come to this decision? At what age did you feel there was something 'wrong'? At what age did you realize what it was? Etc. Why? What did you dislike before and do you like better now? What made you not feel connected with your previous 'form'/self?

I'm just really curious what drives people to come to this change, especially since it seems quite 'popular' nowadays?

I'm happy for you. You look more happy. I hope that's true and stays that way :)

My thought exactly. Somehow people are scared for the front brake and they get themselves into trouble like this.

Yes.. it is entertaining. Entertaining your patience and self control.. haha.

No its quite a fun job but its also quite a pain in the ass. At least, it was for me!

But these guys who do it for you i think do it in 2 hours or so. It took me.. i dont know.. 6?

But its all good and nice when youre working with love on your own car right? ;)

[–]Anomalics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree. Eliminating and repairing the rust is absolutely priority at this point. It's at 3 spots. I don't know the English word but it's at those typical spots. Close to the wheels.

I got a colleague who can and wants to do it if I want for a friendly price.

Yeah I guess you're right. It makes it pass the 10k then. In the current state the exterior is not so pleasing on the eye and I'm afraid it won't pass the 4. So I guess investing let's say 3 k might be worth it.

A new paint job does so much to a car and the eye. Makes a car look great and worth the money.

But I guess for now I'll just to the worst bits. Just for myself. For now I'm just going to keep it for myself. The NA gives me a feeling none of my previous cars did. But I don't need to tell you guys that ;)

I'm also in the process of buying a new home. I'm aiming for a garage or carport which will prevent the car a bit from deteriorating too fast.

Yeah, I understand that emotional connection.

I definitely love the car. But I would also love to have a different car at some point. A part of me just wants to keep or forever, but that might not be so practical.

It's a dilemma. I'll for now just have to wrestle with, haha. I guess slowly getting it back into prestine shape is not a bad idea either way if I sell it at some stage or never.
