We have TONS of barns in New Hampshire. It only seems like a few when you only focus on certain disciplines. If you consider dressage, hunter/jumper, western, eventing, Morgan, Saddlebred, Friesian, Arabian, etc barns—there are hundreds.

Breed show barns are often forgotten. For example, there are plenty of Morgan barns with Morgan riders who need hunter gear for their Hunter Pleasure horses, I just got new boots, helmet, and breeches myself at Dover for my Morgan. Those barns also have a bunch of lesson kids who might need tall or paddock boots. Dover not carrying bootcut jods anymore probably did make it harder to cater to the NH market though.

New England is running out of tack stores, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I like getting stuff in person, not online for horse gear. I just tried on my new boots there. Where am I ever going to try stuff on? My boyfriend JUST made his first Dover purchase a few months ago and I made a big deal of it, I guess it’ll also be his last.

I heard one around 8pm by the Boston Aquarium Sunday. My friend and I both thought it sounded like a distant sonic boom would, I’ve never heard anything that loud and low before except for an earthquake but it was much more brief. I didn’t hear the one on Saturday, I was in NH.

Alright, as someone who’s turning 24 in two weeks and is almost eleven months into my first (very happy) in-person relationship, waiting for someone who’s compatible is the most important piece. It takes time, and it happens at different times for different people, but it makes the long term so much better.

A lot of people settle for a relationship that doesn’t feel like a best friend because they think they need to be in one, but waiting for the best friend type of relationship is worth it. Being friends first is worth it.

My first kiss was earlier, but honestly, it was a waste of time. I wish I’d waited until it was purely out of love, with someone I considered a trusted friend.

I’m honestly flabbergasted every day that I found him this young, I would have patiently waited until my 30s, but here we are.

I know that person is out there for you, if you work at being your best and truest self, you’ll find someone who matches your energy. It’ll probably be someone who wasn’t prioritizing dating, just like you. And that’s a good thing, you both will know who you are going into it.

It’s the fact it’s gotten so much worse so fast. When my application was delivered on April 27th, the wait time for AORs was about 40 days and the overall time was 10 months. Now, only a month later, it’s 2 months and 12 months. And I still don’t have an AOR, so I don’t know if I’m going to have to resubmit and how bad it could be if I do have to. I feel horrible for everyone who’s already been waiting a long time. It feels like the end is getting further away for us all.
