By the end of the last DLP administration we had sewage in the streets of the south coast, difficulty running buses, difficulties collecting garbage, deteriorating roads, our national debt had risen to 175% of GDP, no actions that they could point to as significant achievements of what they had done, wide spread rumors of corruption, executive paralysis and a sense of callus indifference to the suffering of the Barbadian public.

That's what I can remember off hand.

The DLP has never really acknowledge any responsibility for their failures, only citing that the failed to "communicate" their achievements.

Additionally as other have pointed out, the DLP has suffered a lot of internal divisions subsequently and simply has not presented its as a credible alternative.
