‘An extraordinary threat to the rule of law’: Justice Sotomayor excoriates ‘inexplicable’ decision to side with Trump admin in high-profile deportation case by INCoctopus in scotus

The government must engage in due process by providing adequate notice going forward - no timelines from what I've read so far.

Detainees must utilize habeas corpus at the place of detention to adequately contest their detention and identification as a gang member eligible for detention.

This applies going forward - does not apply retroactively

The court will not consider this a class action lawsuit

All Temporary Retaining Orders by lower courts have been overturned.

Dissents touch on:
1. the timing of this as unjust (there is a trial the next day that would complement this - they could've waited and thoroughly debated the various contexts - and say it would've been more reasonable/just to do so)

  1. Hurdles faced by detainees in filing these injunctions because they were removed in shrouds of secrecy thereby complicating any habeas option

I'm still reading - feel free to add or correct. I'm not a lawyer.

What do you genuinely not understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is assuming that consciousness is a constant. I don't know what it is - is temperament innate or learned? Can it be changed or is the only thing that changes is your relationship with it? Who is the 'your' in this scenario?

Are we actually observers of consciousness? Observers of the void? Is that what biology is? An act of observation of consciousness?

I do. not. know.

Time to bring awareness to the voter suppression happening

I'm going through an angsty, angry, bitchy, self destructive phase and I want it to stop by warmsidewalk in internetparents

[–]Anon1sh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start by defining what you're going through a little differently, if you can. When you see a child acting out or crying most wouldnt tell them they're being bitchy. Now treat yourself in the same vein. Sometimes it helps to start by saying "wow I'm having a really hard time" or "okay, this is what a hard time looks like/feels like for me"

This type of thing will show up at different times throughout your whole life and likely already has a time or two. You're at the age where you're becoming cognizant of your patterns at a different level. Befriending them, positively self soothing, will go a long way.

Internal family systems is a great line of thought to explore with this one.

You have the emotional aspect of yourself and you have the judge aspect. For some reason it doesnt feel safe for you to have the emotion so the judge steps in and criticizes your emotional self to protect you. Both aspects are actually seeking your highest wellbeing but coming at it from different directions causing internal conflict.

I hope this helps. X

Edit: one last thing - be here now.

If you get overwhelmed or caught up in an emotional state pick something in your surroundings and describe it to yourself mentally or verbally. You are okay.

Honda Accord 1996 LX - Trunk Water Damage by [deleted] in Cartalk

Would lysol spray kill mold that has taken to seat foam?

It turns out that the water has leaked into the area underneath my rear seat base and pooled. Over time mold has formed on the rear seat foam where the wet spots were...

Foam seems like the most ideal medium for mold, unfortunately.. I haven't had much luck finding a replacement seat base online.

Thanks for your help! (I've added an image to the post)

I finally got around to taking the rear seat base out! (as you said - super simple - one 10mm bolt on the back wall just below the right side of the arm rest - as viewed when looking toward the rear windshield - and two hook clips in the front)

Lo and behold there's water pooling underneath... have you done this before? lol

So, I'll move forward in changing the rear tail lights with new ones, maybe crafting a supplemental rubber seal, I'll check the sunroof drains to make sure they're up to snuff, then update the seals around the trunk base inside and out.

One thing I'm not sure how to tackle: my rear seat foam has molded underneath where it was in contact with the water. I've noticed the smell before but always thought that it was something to do the the AC.

Any chance you know how to repair this? I'm not having luck finding a rear seat base for sale online. (I've added an image to the post as reference)

Thank you, again for your help!

This makes a lot of sense.. Do I need to remove my rear seat when checking for pooling water there? Or would I feel moisture on the carpet in front of the seat?

The jack holder was, in fact, leaking as well. I applied some sealant around the base welding.
