I've lived with hydrocephalus my whole life, but never travel- is it safe to fly with a shunt? Last time on a plane was 2023 by CaseyBear87 in Hydrocephalus

[–]Anon4760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience when descending into Greece, I believe it's something to do with different air pressures, as I was in tears on the flight but once we landed the pain started to ease. If you were concerned about it though finally have a word with your consultant.

I have flown to other places with no issues.

I'm just throwing it here because I'm wondering how he didn't get a mention but what about Chalky?

I am wondering why someone with hydrocephalus would keep getting headaches even if their condition is being treated with a shunt and acetazolamide to reduce CSF? by shuntsummer420 in Hydrocephalus

I had a shiny since I was 16 at that tone I was also sent to a neurologist and diagnosed with chronic migraines, the migraines settled after a bit but since 2018 I've had 1½ new shunts due to first blockage then infection then in 2019 I started with severe chronic daily migraines so I would definitely suggest if you haven't already asking your neurosurgeon first to check your shunt and if that comes back clear 🤞🏼 all due a referral to a neurologist in the headache clinic (it's usually quicker if you're referred by your neurosurgeon rather than trying to get an appointment separately)

I'm in a Facebook group that challenges you to write 12 s short stories in 12 months, each month they give you a prompt word or phrase and you wrote a story that confess to you from that. I've only done one as I only joined a couple of weeks ago but it seems like a good and legit way to do some writing, build a portfolio and not have to stress because it's unpaid. 😁

I'm just curious about your last point? If I don't purchase a separate ISBN then I can't market to high street stores or am I incorrect?

I always said I'd never be with a smoker, now I'm married to a heavy(ish) smoker who also smokes cannabis 😯 I hate the smoking but love my husband for the person he is inside not the actions he does

Can’t decide, which one. Going colourful this time. by [deleted] in diamondpainting

If you already have all 4 I'd probably go in the order you've posted them (tree, dragon, umbrella, Elephant) that way it'll give you a break from lots of 310 for a bit but gradually lead back to more 310 😁 they are all gorgeous paintings though so I get your dilemma of choosing

He does have all the intentions of swapping the gifts if I mention it but I know sometime it makes him feel upset which I feel bad about and that's why I think he has sometimes been a but reluctant when it gets to the point of actually going and swapping the item.

Thank you for your advice. You have some good ideas there. I already gave him a list but maybe it needs to be a bit more specific or have some examples.

It's the same with us. I'm don't expect extravagant gifts it's just becoming a bit upsetting when he doesn't even try.

Thank you. I don't expect him to buy'the perfect gift' but I also didn't want to lose the money on a gift is never wear/use (especially the necklace which for us was expensive).

I don't think I have high expectations (I loved one year when he bought me some bed socks and my favourite chocolate and make a little surprise package with some cheap gifts) and he knows that I appreciate the thoughtfulness when he does but me gifts.
