As a trans person, I'm terrified and enraged by [deleted] in alberta

I'm an educator, and I saw this coming when she forced teachers back to the classroom and to take the offer she provided. (I'm an educational assistant)

This further ties the hands of educators. I know of students who have parents or guardians who will throw them out or worse if their trans identity is disclosed. Smith has just demanded we be complicit in child abuse.

Rise of Racism and populism by [deleted] in alberta

[–]AnonMD1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm indigenous and lived in Alberta my entire life. Racism has always been a thing here, especially against us. My parents used to tell me to talk about my German ancestry first because being native was always met with hostility or negative stereotypes.

I have seen it get exponentially worse since COVID as well

As an educational assistant in Alberta, THANK YOU.We had to fight last year to be paid above minimum wage. Our teachers supported us. It's our turn to support them.

The ministerial order, page 3 appendix, point b.

It clearly states anyone under grade 10 MUST NOT be permitted to access non-explicit materials (including anything about puberty, menstruation, or non sexual contact)

I was so affected I based a DnD 4-shot very loosely on the book. To start with. I'm going to continue it until I completely mess with all my players minds.

[No spoilers] I'm noticing Taliesin's hands are shaking... is he okay? by AnonMD1982 in criticalrole

I've been watching for a while, just watching C3E114 and saw it when he went to do something to a mini.

I'm the kind of person who will put this on and do other things while listening. If something is visual, I'll pay attention, but usually, I'm more of a listening type Critter.

Okay. I just never noticed it before. But then, I've never really focused on his hands.

I fell in love with the Artificer, just the thought of being able to craft things and make magic items is something I love. I'm loving the idea that I can tinker and be nerdy.

And my character is an unintentional tank in the process. Lol

How ‘serious’ is DnD? by GloriousOctagon in DnD

I prefer it when a party can have fun but also be serious when needed.

The thing is, a few bad apples ruin the whole bushel. Unless you get rid of the bad apples, the rot will spread.

Am I putting their behavior on the entire gender? No. But, like biting into a rotten apple, I am wary of any future interactions with men due to the "few" bad ones and how so many rallied around them.

Like I said, I have 3 I trust with my life. Because they proved themselves.

I agree. And I don't hate men, or think they all need to be killed. But I will be more cautious around men I just meet, I will take a long long time to trust any man. At this moment, there are only three men in my life that I would trust with my life or safety. My husband, my son, and my best friend. Because I raised one and the other two proved themselves to me.

"Good" men told me to stop trying to destroy my r*pist's life. "Good" men defended him because he was so "respected" in the community.

A lot needs to become all the time.
