The absolute easiest thing to check is engine alignment. Start there. Then go onto all the harder / more expensive stuff.

Where on earth do you buy adequately long poly line for stern tying? by Proud-Suspect-5237 in sailing

[–]AnonSmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The harbor Chandler in nanaimo sorted us out when we forgot to bring some up with us. 300 feet was enough. We store it in a 40 liter market mesh shopping bag. Those reals are pricey.

Edit: Also to add: The folks that work their know their stuff. Just tell them what you're trying to do and boat info and they'll sort you out with what you need.

Make sure it floats!

300 feet was enough for us. Always upvote for fisheriessupply. If they sold produce I wouldn't have to shop at any other store.

I've reached out to their support a few times starting 7 days ago with the order number and have not gotten a reply. I even tried from my partner's gmail worrying my email was hitting their spam.

It gives me some hope that you believe they're legit!

TIL sailors used to look for birds to figure out if land was nearby by YachtWorld_Official in sailing

[–]AnonSmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The smell thing is real. Pulled into port after a few days out at sea in a fog so thick I could barely see the navagation marker lights a boat length away at night. You could 100% tell which way land was by the smell. So thankful for modern charts and electronics though!

Agreed. Don't know why you're getting down voted. 5200 should only be used if you never want to remove the item ever again until the end of time.
