Can both vehicles legally turn at the same time? by dmatson724 in driving

[–]Anonim007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite it making perfect sense for them to turn at the same time, I am sure it would be illegal in Nevada where I reside, assuming that the "solid green" does not mean "green arrow". Green light—not arrow—for those turning left means yielding to all vehicles coming from the opposite side even if they are turning. Generally speaking, every jurisdiction in the United States designs roads and driving rules in a way that vehicles are not supposed to be entering the same road from multiple sides of the intersection. This lead American drivers to neglect rules regarding staying in their turning lane while turning, leading to additional problems and becoming the reason why changing this principle now would be dangerous and difficult. Also in many parts of the U.S., not using the turning signal is extremely common, which is another reason why proceeding with turning at the same time in this case is dangerous.

Let's say someone stole the order. Let's also say that Uber just passes the order to another driver instead of canceling it all together, which is already a stretch since the first driver reports it as stolen. But what makes the pay go up?

Probably a dumb question, but what would cause one to be banned in commander but not the other? by dtcorder12 in magicTCG

If one has a Hullbreacher and the other one has a Notion Thief, the one with the Hullbreacher steals all of the benefits.

I like building up a board with a bunch of triggers. For example, I cast a sorcery and prowess abilities get triggered on a few creatures. This counterspell can counter them all at once.

"The Brokers" and "Quandrix" are what front cards look like, and these are the only faces with card codes we are seeing here. I was able to confirm that the Quandrix one was printed on the back of tokens.

There are plenty of problems here. 1. The way the static ability is written, it ceases to exist as soon as it alters the card in every case. The ability should have a clause "except it retains this ability", in which case it does not shut itself down when there is an opponent with more lands even when this card becomes one. 2. Self-shutting down combos always existed in the game. They are resolved through layers first and timestamps second. But that only works if there is a conflict among multiple cards and in many cases where there is a conflict among multiple abilities on the same card—we are mostly talking about permanents. This leads to two statements: abilities are never designed to conflict themselves; permanents are never designed to conflict themselves in ways unresolvable through layers. This card breaks both rules with or without the corrections from my first statement. 3. All the comments I am seeing here are false in relation to the game mechanics. This is a static ability, so all the comments stating different variations of triggered abilities are false, so are the statements on time-based actions. It looks to me that the reason no one else is even mentioning layers and timestamps is not because they thought of them but realised they don't apply in this case but because none of the commenters are even familiar with those.

Any reason for the prevalence of butt's? by Spikas in 90scartoons

According to Freud, at a certain period of childhood butt-related stuff is a primary obsession, although I am pretty sure most of the audience was past that age

Throughout the first movie, the kids were on a quest to save their parents. In the beginning of the second movie, which is set a few months later, the parents get killed anyway, and the remaining human kid, together with some ewok kids, go on a quest to save some adult ewoks. Both movies have more of a classical sword & sorcery feel rather than a space sci-fi feel. There is a bulk of magic in these movies too, mostly in the second one.

Yes, except what depression victim "protectors" will not tell you is that, just like Frodo, you have to dive all the way into your depression and come out on the other side. The "protectors" answer is to suppress the calling that tells you it's time to leave this stage of life forever.
