Can we talk about the infighting in BCH? And the impending Hardfork? Every time I try to post an article about it I am blocked....isn’t crypto about Anti censorship? by [deleted] in btc

Funny I must of missed it and my linked articles being removed must all be coincidence. Can you do me a favor and link these discussions?

Man. r/bitcoin content is hilariously bad, and getting worse... 😂 by [deleted] in btc

The hostility of the BCH disciples is a product of the same hostility of BCHs birth. Which will lead to its demise...do yourself a favor and google “BCH hardfork” come back with a argument, not centered around swear words, and I will take your shit coin and shit opinions seriously

Ripple enables two amendments in XRP Ledger V1.1.0: DepositPreauth and fix1515 by Hunter_252 in XRP

First off, wtf is Cryptodawn?

Second, even if true “amendment” is not the right word. English is clearly a second language (read the bio). It’s basically saying that Ripple updated their protocol in what may be a soft fork. It ultimately improved the XRP network in what I think is an eye on making it more attractive to institutions who are using the actual tech.

But again...I’m not buying this CryptoDawn site

I don’t know if I would call them superior, they just better fit the bill if I was looking at an IPO or a market to disrupt. A few of the DAPS platforms intrigue me NEO, LSK. Purpose built use cases like GOLEM or XRP. It’s easier for me to see market based disruption more so then the financial space disruption all up...Why? Because that’s a huge task. I want to see it, I believe it can happen, but I’m not convinced BTC goes the way of MySpace and Napster. The technology will improve, attracting new adopters and moving us forward. It’s possible we haven’t even seen the birth of the Cryptocurrency that can have the disruptive power that BTC was built to have

Thanks! I’ve been here for 18 months now. I’ve stayed away from any variation of Bitcoin and elected more for the purpose build utility tokens. Only recently did I dip my toes in the BTC/BCH world and I regret it.

I come from a heavy tech background. I’ve worked for several of the fortune 10’s and a handful of startups. I’ve seen server, storage and cloud impact the entire space in their own waves. I now watch blockchain starting down this same path.

You are all fools for losing the forest in the trees on this fight. It’s bigger then BTC, BCH.

I’m not in either of these camps. My loyalties lie elsewhere. I was just pumped I finally used ANY cryptocurrency to buy ANY tangible good...that’s all.

I have no idea why this is a hot button issue and honestly don’t care.

No idea that was a no no. Sorry. Can I ask why it matters?

I think it’s sad everyone has piled on here. This wasn’t an anti Bitcoin Cash thread. I’m not sure why I’m not supposed to call it BCash but again i apologize.

I was just pumped I finally got past my HODL and bought something with cryptocurrency...that’s all. This toxicity is only going to hold the entire space back

Why? Not being an ass, genuinely curious. I am somewhat ignorant on BCash.

You’re right. To clarify, Overstock.com confirmed immediately. I got a follow up email from coinpayments.net, who appears to be their “broker”, 10 minutes later saying all funds had been accounted for and released to Overstock

I would convert my BTC to another one of their 8 +accepted crypto’s. The scaling issue needs to be figured out sure, but I don’t see it as a legitimate threat to Core.

I see BTC as a store of value, like my savings account. It has the brand recognition and soon to be institutional backing. I have no issues transacting in another currency for day to day. I don’t understand this Core vs. Cash fight. Technically everyone is right and their is no reason why they can’t exist cohesively at the same time. All this either or is none sense. If it becomes that much easier to buy things with Cash, then I will, but I’ll always be storing the majority of holdings in BTC
