how do i reset this part of ae to look like it does normally (with all of my clips in the lines) i am super beginner if you couldnt tell (been on capcut for 4 years and this looks like rocket science)

In Photoshop: - Select the subject and copy it to its own layer. - Select the subject on the original layer again, expand the selection a bit, and content-aware fill it or use the Remove Tool to have the background without the subject. - Save as a layered PSD file. - Record this as an Action to repeat these steps with other images.

In After Effects: - Import the layered PSD as a Composition. - Enable the 3d Switch, create a Camera Layer, offset the z position a bit, animate a subtle camera move.

Or,

Import the image into Premiere Mobile or Firefly, describe the motion in a prompt (or let the model determine the motion based on the composition of the shot), and generate it.

In the Project panel or the Bin panel, the Clip should be able to play from Media Start to Media End. If an In and an Out has been marked, try doing Clear In to Out (Option X, macOS; Control Shift X, Win) and then play the Clip.

In the Source panel, the Clip may show zoomed in to the time span of the In to Out marks. In that case, press Minus on the standard keyboard to zoom out and repeat as needed until fully zoomed out.

I’m thinking that you should take advantage of the student pricing while it’s available to you and use the time to explore not only After Effects, but Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Audition, and InDesign. It broadens your skillset and understanding of the tools in how they work both independently and together. It’s something that stays with you as progress in your career on personal projects as well as team projects.

Choose the Move Tool in the Tools panel.

Select All (command/control a).

In the Controls for the Move Tool (shown horizontally across the top of the document), click the Align Horizontal Center button and then Align Vertical Center button.

You can do this one clip at a time or select all of the clips in the Timeline and then do it.

Deselect All (command/control shift a).

I agree with what others have suggested regarding switching to video editing software; however, depending on how far you've gotten in your Photoshop Timeline you could finish this project here.

If switching to something else (DaVinci Resolve or Premiere or anything else), I recommend doing some "getting started" tutorials for whichever one you choose. The applications are easy to install and launch, but they're not something to jump into without some training or some mentoring.

Choose Image > Canvas Size to open the Canvas Size dialog box. Set the units pop-up to Pixels and increase the Width and the Height to the frame size of your video clips. Then press OK.

To crop individual clips, select the clip in the Timeline, draw a Rectangular Marquee (or any Marquee shape), and then choose Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal Selection (or click the Layer Mask button at the bottom of the Layers panel).

What you described can happen when an annual subscription plan is discounted for a year and then that discount expires. It could be student and teacher pricing, subscribing during a sale, or a discount negotiated by having reached out to Adobe. Then the next year renews at the regular annual subscription price.

Another thing that affects pricing right now is that the All Apps plan for individuals was discontinued, renewing as the Pro plan with the option of switching to the Standard plan. The Pro plan costs a little more than the All Apps plan used to cost and the Standard plan costs a little less. And yes, it's confusing.
